Location/Airport: In the heart of the city; five km from the central station, four km from Linate airport, 50 km from Malpensa airport.

The Cathedral: It is the principal religious monument of the city and the most immense building of gothic architecture in Italy. The cathedral is situated in Piazza del Duomo, in the very center of Milan. It is 11,500 square meters, 158 meter long, 93 meter large; on the top we find a great number of finals, the highest of which is 109 meters high. In 1386 the building was raised during the empire of Gian Galeazzo Visconti (the name of the architect is unknown). The work leades by lombard, french and german masters.
The castel Sforzesco: It was built of Visconti in 1300 and was called Castello di Porta Giovia. The castel is situated close outside the medieval walls. During the "Repubblica Aurea" (1447 - 50) it was almost destroyed and rebuild of Francesco Sforza, who made it to his residence. The castel continued with rebuilding work and was widening in every regime: first the Moro in 1499, after this under Spanish domain in 1500 and 1800 under the French. The Modern Art Gallery: You can find the gallery in the royal villa of Milan, one of the splendid buildings surrounded by a park. Near by is the garden of Porta Venezia.
