There was a porter at the dock when we arrived from Sorrento by boat. He took care of our bags and directed us to the funicular up to the center of town. We then asked for directions from the person seated at the information desk.

This is a family run hotel and they all have pride in the property. They were all very helpful about planning our day and assistance when needed.

It was a good climb up from the center of town. We didn't mind the climb, but people should be advised of it's location up from the center of town.

A place that seemed an integral part of the community in Capri. We got to see how the citizens of Capri lived and we liked that.

Access is by a fairly steep walk uphill. This would be very difficult for the elderly or infirm.

Very pleasant quiet small hotel but the access via a steep hill is definitely a disadvantage!
Apart from this problem we would have been very happy to stay again on our next visit but we shall look at locations nearer the centre of Capri town or reached on the level from the centre

Capri may be an expensive place (and everywhere in Italy too) for hotels ... hotels are worse than most of the countries and more expensive than most of others foreign countries ...
