Coming by car from North Italy (Milan-Rome): First itinerary: A1 Highway towards Naples. Just before "Caserta Sud" exit take the A30 and exit at Pagani-Nocera. Follow the signs to the "Costa Amalfitana" to reach Ravello via the Chiunzi pass. You will find may road signs for Ravello. Once in Ravello park your car at Giordano hotel (sister hotel of Villa Maria and located at the beginning of the town) and we will come to take you there. This is the best and shortest route, expecially during holidays when the roads are crowded.
Second itinerary: A1 Highway up to Naples. Then A3 Naples Salerno. Exit at either Angri or Vietri sul mare. a) At Angri follow signs to the "Costa Amalfitana" to reach Ravello via the Chiunzi pass. b) At Vietri sul mare take the SS163 road through Cetara, Maiori and Minori.
It is possible to exit at Castellamare and head to: a) Agerola and Amalfi, b) Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi. These however, are the worst routes, to be avoided during holidays and week ends.
Coming by car from South Italy: A3 Salerno-Naples. Exit at Salerno and proceed towards Vietri sul Mare and then "Costa Amafitana".You will find the road-signs for Ravello.
Coming by train: Arrive to the Naples or Salerno station, then catch a taxi or a Sita bus up to to Ravello. If you want to use buses, it's preferable to choose Salerno railway station because the departures to the Amalfi Coast are more frequent in comparison to Naples.
Coming by plane: The nearest airport is in Naples ("Capodichino"). Once there you can catch a taxi or take our shuttle service (extra cost and on request). |
