Villa Franceschi, at only 10 Km from Venice, overlooks the banks of the Brenta, the Riviera of the noble families of Venice. As long ago as the 15th century the Venetians considered the waters of the Brenta to be a natural extension of the Canal Grande. They built a string of villas along its banks with both business and pleasure in mind. These summer retreats had two façades, the finest one overlooking the waterway, while the one at the rear gave on to the gardens and cottages where everyday activities went on.

The windows and terraces of Villa Franceschi overlook an extensive park containing some
outstandingly beautiful corners embellished by antique statues. In the rooms of the cottages one can enjoy the silence of nature, broken only by birdsong from the boughs of the centuries-old trees.

The park and gardens are a tranquil paradise. There are many ways to let guests know they are welcome, but in this regard the details are eloquent: fireplaces, sumptuous fabrics, pictures, period furniture, classical décor, all conspire to make your stay a memorable one.

The Palladian Villa Margherita provides an elegant setting for business meetings. And the endless
attractions and distractions of La Serenissima are a short drive or a leisurely boat trip away.

This late XVI century architectural group is composed by two separate parts, which shape, joined together, formes a luxurious hotel of great charm and beauty. The Villa is lightly furnished with excellent furniture, painting and curtains weaved by the best Venetian make both buildings really precious.

Both buildings, the main Villa and the Barchessa are
surrounded by a splendid secular park extended for 33,000 squared meters which gives the guests the possibility to discover some typical romantic plants and essences of the XVIII century gardens.

The main Villa

On the first floor we find the main central corridor where 4 junior suites face. The same scheme will be found on the second noble floor with other 4 junior suites facing on the hall.
From the hall guests can approach the wonderful extraordinary mansard-roof. The two 80 squared meters halls on the floors, maintain the original Venetian basement. The rooms, facing the garden or the placid river, provide valuable marble-made fireplaces, roofs with visible and original epoch beams. All pavements are made of rare Venetian terracotta.

Barchessa of Villa Franceschi

The Barchessa is the ancient rustic part of the property, where not only boats but also tools and farm carts. The owner wished to keep the
original rustic atmosphere of the ancient building. To reach this goal it has been necessary to restore everything with the utmost care. As a consequence of this philological research tissues, curtains and artisan furniture have been joined with Venetian terracotta and wood to create an excellent harmony.
