 The name became from the Balbi family of Genoa, famous for its many contributions during the Renaissance period to Genoese history and internationally, to the business environment. We invite you to step back in time to the 1500's when their family business included the import and export of silk, velvet, wool, mercury and in the 1600's, international banking. Through their business acumen and success, the Balbi family accumulated great wealth and nobility status. |
