 It was 1832 when a man, the admiral of the Real Italian Navy Capace Minutolo, lost in love of the wife Aminta, remained bewitched from the beauties of the Lake Maggiore. He searched for the most romantic and fascinating angle, just opposite to the islands Borromeo and he created one villa for the vacations to donate to his beloved. He built the villa Aminta. |
 During the years the villa became a hotel, enduring numerous embellishments until the more important total restructure which took place in the last few years, by the idea of the new owners, the Zanetta family.Located in Stresa this hotel really is a jewel. The Lounge area of the hotel is ornately decorated using many Venetian glass pieces and rich antique furnishings. |
 The hotel has two restaurants - L'Isole Restaurant is the larger restaurant where you can enjoy a very full buffet breakfast either inside or outside on the terrace overlooking the islands and lake, at dinner here you can enjoy delicious local and international dishes and light lunches at mid-day.While for those looking for something a little more intimate you may wish to consider the I Mori Restaurant - a Zanetta creation.This restaurant is very elegant, open 7 days a week, has a fairytale atmosphere and is the perfect place for a very special dinner enjoying Mediterrean cuisine and fine wines. |
 The Rooms are simple, spacious and the junior suites in particular have great balconies overlooking the lake and those famous islands.Venetian glass and fine furnishings both antique and new have been used to add character and elegance to the rooms. The bathrooms have a variety of amenities and they are very pleasant and well equipped. |
 All of the Hotel bedrooms have air conditioning - the hotel does has some non smoking rooms which should be requested at the time of booking.Add the above to being in a great strategic position - less than one hour drive from Milan Malpensa Airport, easily accessible from Switzerland via the Simplon Pass, within 5 mins drive of Stresa Train Station and the fact that hotel has a wonderful position between Stresa and Baveno with very efficient shuttle bus taking you to/from these towns, should you choose not to take the picturesque pathway behind the property - makes this hotel an ideal option to propose to clients at the beginning or end of their vacation with us here in Italy. |
