Facilities within the Property

 
At Villa del Duca the purpose is making the guests feel at home, but as in a real rural experience: this is why the 2000 square metres garden becomes the perfect spot where to enjoy the fresh air or have a snack in the afternoons, once you come back from your excursions. At the property there is a completely furnished kitchen that is shared by all the guests: the price of the room includes the use of gas, water and electricity here, therefore you can prepare your own meals or learn the local recipes.
 
There is no reception area within the property: however, the owners are available 24 hours a day for any questions you may have. They live in the house next doors, only 50 metres away, and will be pleased to help you out with your plans for the day. If you wish to taste the typical breakfast from the Umbria region, instead of cooking it yourself at the common kitchen, just ask for it the night before.
 
Depending on the weather, this buffet is served at the hall or the wooden gazebo outside: it contains Italian cappuccino and coffee, a variety of fruit juices and delicious local cakes such as the Ciambellone and the Pine nut cake.

There is also a swimming pool at Villa del Duca (it measures 15 x 7 metres), and other entertainment facilities like tennis table and mountain bikes. Service laundry, an internet point in the hall and a small barbecue are also available.

Either if you need to buy groceries or try a gourmet menu at a restaurant, Castiglione del Lago is the nearest important town: it is placed only 2 kilometres away, and it also features some relevant monuments that are worth visiting. The Church of Santa Maria Maddalena, the Town Hall in Renaissance style and the Fortress of the Lion, built by Emperor Frederick II, are just some to begin with.

Anyway, as a guest of Villa del Duca you should ask for the daily excursions that are organised on minibus to the many cities placed close to the property: Perugia, Siena, San Gimignano and Cortona await you, among many others near the limits of Umbria and Tuscany.
