Situated on an ancient sheep track linking the internal valleys to the open sea, Il Vignale di Pirro maintains the atmosphere of a 17th Century colony, posed as it is on raised ground between vineyards and Mediterranean marquis.
Excursion all year are possible either on foot or by bike: wandering among the vines taking a walk on the main bridges of the Apulina Aqueduct (going back to the beginning of the 20th century they cross "lame" - carsick depression - of the great interest both in hydro-geological terms and those of landscape) having a go at mountain biking in the woods, or simply taking in the panorama from the hill which dominates the valley all of these activities are guaranteed relaxation.The more courageous might mix with fans of parasailing that frequent the area.
Apulian cuisine is famous for its variety and freshness.
