There was no CD player. Breakfast was in a cafe over the road, baguette and coffee - would have liked a bit more. Had to ask for a stop for the sink in order to wash up.
Apart from that it was extremely good. Staff very helpful, got taxis for us whenever required. Rooms very clean and comfortable. We would go there again.

Very easy, now proved to be reliable as this was the first time we have used the site and excellent way to be able to book your holiday without going through a high street agency.

We weren't really told about breakfast on arrival which could have been tricky as we had to go to a small cafe opposite the hotel which we would not have known if reception had been closed as it closes early evening.

Breakfast is at a small cafe opposite the hotel. You get a voucher for this. Probably best to have a big meal the night before as it's a very small pastry and a cup of coffee and they don't speak any English!!

Receptionists were happy to recommend restaurants, and one of their recommendations was very good - we had a memorable meal at very reasonable price.
Also, we had a suite with self-catering facilities, which was more than we expected and would have been very welcome if we had planned a longer stay.

We did not realise that self-catering facilities were included in the room - it may have been only the room that we had.
However, it is worth mentioning especially for people who are planning a longer stay than our one night.

Very good value, and would be worth a longer stay with self-catering facilities. Also nice and central to Verona sights, but it is a bit too far to walk from the railway station with bags.
If we return to Verona, we will stay there again.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Verona House. Our only complaint was that we did not have a 'true' queen/king size bed. We had 2 single beds pushed together.

The Verona House provided us with a clean and spacious 1 bedroom apartment in the heart of Verona. The apartment included a nice sized bedroom and living room with a fold-out sofa that my 2 daughters (ages 9 and 6) were able to sleep on comfortably. The location was ideal. Our apartment looked out over the castle, a good trade-off for the occassional street noise.
Although we normally stay in hotels on vacations, I would definintely recommend a residenza (apartment) for a family. Having a washing machine in the apartment (and use of the dryer) was a real convenience. In a residenza you don't have access to typical hotel amenities (ie room service,, concierge) but this was not a problem here. With a little kitchenette in the foom, we were able to store drinks and snacks. The front desk helped direct us to some terrific local restaurants and tourist destinations. A european breakfast was provided at a local pastry/coffee shop around the corner - the staff was very friendly and the girls really enjoyed immersing themselves in the Italian experience.
Finally, we used Verona as a hub for day trips around northern Italy. Lake Garda is about 20 minutes away and a trip to Sirmeone is about 30 minutes and well worth the drive! On another day we drove up along the west shore of the lake to Riva del Garda and spent the afternoon swimming in a beautiful setting at the foot of the alps. Other day trips included Venice, Mantova and Parma.
I would recommend the Verona House to anyone planning a trip to the area.

The shower, 30 inches square, is much too small, especially for a large person. We rolled up the carpets because they were a tripping hazard. It would be better to have none. We had to request that the air conditioning be turned on because it was very warm. It was turned on the next day. We liked having a washer and dryer and iron and ironing board available. The stove and refrigerator worked fine and we had all the dishes and silverware we needed. The hotel is in an excellent location--close to everything. The staff is outstanding.

I would describe the few problems already mentioned but give it a big plus for the location, all the good points (washing machine, dryer, hair dryer, television) and the service by your staff.

I was delayed due to heavy traffic and the receptionist was very helpful in rearranging the arrival time.

The location is fantastic but the rooms are a bit shabby. The floor was badly damaged by water leakage and clearly had been like it for some time. There was no information in the room. The staff were very helpful to arrange parking outside the residence. The parking is remote from the hotel which was not clear from the web-site.

It is described as five star, the staff confirmed to guests in our hearing that it is not, they said it is three star. Breakfast vouchers were given for an 8 o'clock breakfast around the corner but that cafe was shut and didn't open until twenty past so we paid for breakfast at a neighbouring cafe. No refund was available we were told.

At Euro150 per night, it was a bit expensive, but it was a well contained room with kithen and small lounge in a terrific location. I think at Euro125, it would be more in line with the price-for-quality of other accommodation - in both Verona and other cities.

Quite relaxed retro-groovy seventies-style Italian apartment with very close access to the city centre for the Arena colosseum and the outdoor cafes. Also, only 3 minute walk to San Zeno for the local feel.
Hire bikes from near Piazza Bra and easily get about Verona.

We were made to feel extremely welcome and had a wonderful stay at Verona House. The owner waited up for us to arrive which was very, very kind. We couldn't have asked for somewhere as pretty and friendly to stay. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

This is a neighborhood like location and we were confused when we first pulled up. However, it was exactly as stated and truly a ten minute walk (or less) to the arena. It was very clean and comfortable and we would use this location again if we are able to return to Verona.

It would be helpful in the printed directions to include the information about the traffic circle that you must navigate after the left hand turn. Additionally, it would be more clear to indicate that the street Verona House is on is the first left as the street names only appear on the side of the street you cannot see.

We were warmly welcomed at the Verona House and offered accomodation far in excess of that booked - at the same rate as booked. We were very pleased with the accomodation and the friendly service we received during our stay there.
We look forward to staying there again when we next visit Verona.

The front desk managers were very friendly.
I thought our room was very spacious and very clean and tidy. The building was centrally located to everything within walking distance.

We enjoyed the entire experience very much. The staff, the accomodations, the location more than met our expectation. One problem Imight mention is the absence of a comfortable place to sit; the seating provbided looks all right but is neither comfortable nor easy to get into and out of. Aside from that, as they say in American reviews, two thumbs up.

The breakfast offered was a bit disappointing (only croissants or tramezzini and coffee). That should be made clear on the web site in my opinion.

Among the best things is also the short walking distance to all the places of interest in Verona.
The suites are well-furnished and comfortable.
Another great advantage is air-conditioning in the hotel rooms - without that it would have been very unpleasant to stay there. The heat and humidity in Verona in August were just abnormal.

Very nice accomodations. Directly across from the castle as stated in the description. However, it is on a street a short distance from the historical center. A few minutes walk but the area can look a little seedy to some people. Mu first impression from the area and outside of the residence was not good but once I saw the inside it was very nice. Very clean, oplenty of room, beautiful room. I then walked the three blocks to the historical center and felt good about the hotel.Breakfast is not really great. You get a voucher to go tot the bar on the corner for a croissant and tea/coffee and that is it. I got orange juice and it was not included and cost me 3 euro.They would almost be better off setting up a tiny buffet in the lobby or tell the bar a tleast to give you juice and a basket of breads/croissants.

The reception was closed when we arrived (16:00) and did not open until about 1 hour later. The booking facility did not make the room types clear, although I got the room I wanted by asking specifically in the comments box.

The Hotel could not be found by our taxi driver even after getting directions from the hotel direct, we had to get out of the taxi eventually and walk and find it ourselves with great difficulty especially with two suitcases

I would explain that it is more of an apartment, rather than a hotel. It is located in a convenient place, the rooms are spacious, and I would recommend to stay for longer days.
