The Receptionish, Valentina was very welcoming. She showed us all the features of our room and when we asked her for recommenadations for dinner she was very helpful. ... Valentina was a great resource and always willing to help us find what we needed in town our in sorounding areas. ... The staff did not seem to be aware of the 'arranements' with the restaurant in town and the private beach for long stay guests that is mentioned on your website. We did get recommendations for restaurants and private beaches but there were not 'special arrangments' ... Lovely building with great character and always helpful staff.

The property was really beautiful, clean, and well kept, and I was generally pleased; however, I think the description of a room with a 'view' was a little misleading. The view was blocked by the shutters on the windows. Also, it wasn't explained that the rooms on the side that allowed a view were also the rooms which were closest to the railroad tracks, and the noisy trains were heard most of the night. I would stay at the hotel again; however, I would select a room away from the railroad tracks. ... Same as above.

Valentina was extremely helpful. The room was very clean and well kept, as were the public areas. The view of the town and the harbor were magnificent. I thoroughly enjoyed being a few blocks away from the downtown area to be on the hill and have a beautiful view. Take a taxi from the train station, as it is a long walk uphill to the hotel. ... I would recommend it to all of my friends.

It needs to be made clear that 'sea-view' units also include a train track one block below the hotel that is heard all day and all night long. We had to close the windows and sleep with the air conditioning on in order to get any rest. Other than that, it was a good, if simple, hotel with outstanding views. ... As stated above, the major noise from the train below was not found anywhere. It was not what one could call 'quiet' to any degree. The quality of the room was just fine. ... Very quick and courteous! ... Outstanding views. LOTS of train and street noise on sea-side of hotel. The upper patio was a wonderful, quiet space on which to linger. ... LOVELY views. Simple but clean accommodations. Good breakfast. A goodly walk uphill from town. Not for those who aren't in decent shape.

The hotel and suite were lovely and what we expected as far as accommodation. The noise from the train disturbed us though. The staff do their jobs well but smiles would go a long way. We understand that language is perhaps a gap/barrier but you can still smile. ... # 9 with the exception of mentioning that the train in noisy. ... Train noise but I suppose we heard a lot of trains in Italy. ... very nice
