Locanda della Valle Nuova is very tricky to find (especially in the dark), so it's really critical that directions to the agriturismo be very clear. There is no sign for 'Piobbico' or 'Pole' from the Fano-Roma highway or even after you get off at the 'Acqualagna' exit. As a result, we spent a lot of time looking for 'Piobbico' In addition, the road to Castellaro/Locanda is dark (at night) and windy, and the Locanda is not well marked, so we passed right by it. There are a few signs along the way to Locanda, but some of them seem to point to nearby farmhouses, which is a little confusing. All in all, I think better directions are warranted.

Locanda was beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay. Giulia was very nice and helpful and we are happy to have met her. The food was outstanding - all organic, mostly produced from the farm, and delicious. The only drawback was that our room was a little smaller than expected.

Very nice, beautiful, relaxing setting. Definitely off the beaten path.
