Profile |
Apulia is famous for its good food, fine wines, excellent extra-virgin olive oil, beautiful beaches but it is also an extraordinary stony land, with cathedrals and castles and the fascinating "trulli", ancient rural buildings made in local stone with a unique cone-shaped roof and circular or square base. |
Placed on the border between the Valle d'Itria and the Salento area "Le Trecento Fronde" owes to this favourable geographic position the peculiarity of its landscape with sweet wavings, terraces, old-aged olive trees, dried stone walls and panoramic views where nature and rural civilization get together in a perfect balance. |
It lies in the heart of the country and it is the perfect holiday for those who want to escape the bustle of the city in a relaxing atmosphere among the olive trees with their twisted trunks looking like living sculptures but also among almond trees, fig trees ,cherry trees and the spontaneous vegetation that specially during the spring shows itself through spectacular bloomings. |
The two hectares surrounding the property are organically farmed and our guests are invited to pick any fruit directly from the trees or any vegetables from the garden "Le Trecento Fronde" is a trullo dating back the nineteen century that has been recently restored maintaining the original features and using only local materials. |
Spacious and bright, it consists of a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The trullo has been tastefully and originally furnished by the owners, both artists, that have chosen to live in this fascinating region away from the bustle of modern cities. |
