Made to fell most welcome. Arrival was later than scheduled never the less a most delightful meal was provided with ease and to our total satisfaction and delight. ... Memorable and enjoyable . Made to feel like one of the family.Personal touch was most appreciated. Please convey our warmest regards to The Famiglia Esposito and in particular to Signora 'Josephine and her daughter Carmella and of course also to the wider family: Reception / Restaurant personnel who like us appeared to all belong to one big happy family. ... No problems. transfers arranged efficiently. ... Not readily to hand it,s late at night and would have to revert to web site but in general all essential information was provided.Beautiful Sunsets etc were as described.PS Just visited Web Page no need to alter the description given precisely as we found it.Tutte bene / molte bene. ... A unique experience. Have stayed in higher graded Hotels ( better ) but not as nice overall. As stated previously the personal touch and attention was exceptional throughout the stay. Half way between Possitano and Amalfi a beautiful scenic area (where driving skills of the highest order are desireable, essential in fact, for all large vehicles. Driving should NOT be attempted by the novice but left to the local experts who by their style provide a memorable experience) is on the Bus Route with a great service in both directions albeit in Italian Style but which can be copied and we turned that too into a good experience, yes frustrating for those polite in queing!! No offence intended to native or visitor.

We had a very warm welcome and the bell boy parked our car for us and brought our luggage to our room. ... Our room (family room for 4) was great! very spacious, extremely clean and the bathroom was enormous.the view was great from the lovely balcony in the room and also from the dining room. the food was delicious. ... Fast and efficient. The owner gave us a present - a painted plate. ... Absolutely wonderful, and I have already recommended it to some of my friends. The service was great, the people were lovely and the facility is very well maintained.

The attention paid to us upon arrival was first class and could not be faulted. ... Throughout our stay the staff were attentive to our needs and very helpful in answering any questions we had concerning local facilities. ... The presentation of gifts to my partner and I was most unexpected and was a very nice touch. ... None ... Excellent. The views from the hotel were stunning and the location was perfect. I would, without hesitation, recommend this hotel to any person who wants first class service, attention to detail and hospitable staff.

There was someone there to park the car and take the bags to the room - very accommodating ... Immaculately presented and obviously well cared for hotel. The owners were friendly, but never intrusive. Food and service were also excellent. A friendly atmosphere created by all the staff. ... The owner presented us with some locally made ceramics on our departure - a lovely touch ... Perhaps emphasise the location - halfway between the two busier resorts of Amalfi and Positano - peaceful. ... Fantastic views by day and night. Spotlessly clean throughout - tiled floors made the hotel feel very cool. The pool was a delight - never crowded and plenty of loungers. I would heartliy recommend it to anyone!

It was by far the best value the I found after visiting 4 hotels in Praiano and Positano. The staff were courteous and gracious, the rooms were spacious and well appointed, and the breakfast was the best that I was fortunate enough to partake in. Moreover, the view of the Duomo, the unobstructed seascape and the convenience of transportation in unparralelled. I have already recommended this hotel to questioning travelers during my stay in the Amalfi coast.

Their friendliness and understanding counted very highly, given the unexpectedly long and difficult drive from Naples to the hotel in Praiano. ... A friendly, family run hotel with superb views and excellent food. The rooftop terrace and swimming pool is the key feature of the hotel - bearing in mind that the nearest decent beach is a car drive away. The village of Praiano has a very attractive church and a good range of local shops.

We arrived a day early and were offered a seaview room for two nights and the remaining two nights in the prebooked standard room. ... The church bell ringing every quarter hour twnty four hours a day was no great problem in the seaview room but was quite noticable in the standard room. The cost of the upgrade to the seaview room with balcony was definitely worth every euro! The family and staff were amazing in their kind hospitality which went far beyond what one expects from hotel staff.(This made up for the bell ringing!) ... Very sad to leave such wonderfull people and would always stay if we return to Italy. ... Posative. The genuine friendliness of the Esposito family and staff. Excellence of food and service. Negative. Church bell - totally out of the control the hotel and we were advised about it the minute we arrived. ... A great place to stay if you visit the Amalfi Coast but always book a seaview room - furthest from the church bell!

The staff were very friendly and welcoming when we arrived at the hotel. The check-in was quick and the staff were very efficient and organised. ... We were extremely impressed with the hotel. We were made to feel so welcome by the owners and staff and nothing was too much trouble. We couldn't have picked a nicer place to stay. We were also particularly impressed with the food ..... the best we have experienced for some time. ... We have already recommended the hotel to many of our family and friends. It is without doubt the nicest hotel we have stayed in and the food was fantastic.
We are booking again for two weeks next year!

... Our experience was very pleasant. The only comment I have (regrets) is that I did not mention that I was 6ft 4inches tall (1.93 metres) and your single beds were much too small. Other than that we appreciated your services. Regards D ... We chose your accommodatiosn on the following: Safety and Security Clean and well maintained Easy Access (no long stairways to hotel) Access to tourist areas Access by pubic transportation Due to the above I was expecting to pay a bit more more than most hotels. ... Size of twin beds ... Spectacular view

A shuttle service would be an excellent option as the bus ride takes so long and not good for people who get travel sick! ... Every thing was perfect. The view was amazing from our terrace and breakfast on the balcony in the restaurant is a memory to be savoured. ... Ideal, relaxing and gastronomic! ... There is a samll selection of excellent restaurants in Prainano. The village is tiny and very italian.
There is a bus stop outside the hotel. ... Ideal. Relaxing and gastronomic!

Excellent arrival experience. Staff was expecting us and our room was still available even though we didn't arrive until the evening. ... Very accommodating - split our bill out amongst the parties that stayed in the room per our request. Arranged for driver to pick us up. ... It was within walking distance to a great little beach. There is very little within walking distance from the hotel, which can a pro or con depending on what you are looking for. Both of the buses (SITA and the orange bus to Positano) have stops immediately in front of the hotel though. ... The Tramonto D'Oro is a modest, charming, family-owned hotel offering spectacular views of the Mediterranean and Positano and a nice quiet location from which to explore the Amalfi Coast. While our room itself was somewhat small, it was clean, had a nice bathroom, and a large terrace that overlooked the sea. We did not spend a lot of time in the room anyways. The dining areas and the pool are nice and have great views. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and there is always someone on duty who is fluent in English. They were particularly helpful when it came to figuring out how to use the bus systems. There is a fun little beach below the hotel if you are up to the 400 steps it takes to get down there.

We thought as we were staying at the Tramonto D'Oro on our honeymoon we had thought maybe a complimentary basket of fruit or a bottle of wine or some flowers would have been a nice touch but there was nothing. ... I think for the nightly cost of staying at the hotel a wider choice of breakfast dishes could be available to suit the British/American taste. ... Above basic accommodation, staff very friendly, views beautiful.

Very expensive transfer from Naples. Warm smiles and a late dinner awaited us. They kept the kitchen open for only us! ... It is about a 45 minute walk to the beach (hundreds of steps). Too far for the average person. ... Beatiful scenery and rooms. Friendly staff. Quiant town with a decent location on the Amalfi Coast.

It would have been helpful if desk staff or concierge would have pointed out hotel facilities, beach location, book day trips and transportation to and from airport. ... It would have been helpful to have staff knowledgeable in the english language. Plus, given that you are a hotel, staff available to book trips such as Capri. ... Your hotel suggested use of a taxi company but the hotel did not help in any way to assist. Other hotels have arranged transport to and from their establishment. the taxi system was very poor and the hotel was not very helpful. ... the breakfast could have been a bit more substantial such as boiled eggs included. the menu also could have been available with items listed clearly. ... the rooms are excellent. however, you do not receive hotel staff service as you would in other high end hotels i.e. the hotel staff do very little to help arrange day trips, taxis, transport to and from airports, train stations.

Our room was not very clean when we checked in (there were hairs on the floor) and it was also much smaller than we had expected. We also found the room to be noisy - we were woken up early every morning by the sound of chairs being moved on the floors above us and also heard the same noises in the evenings. ... Friendly hotel but not very good value for money.

All the management and staffs were very kind and friendly which satisfied us very much.
... Priano is a very quiet place to stay and peopls there are very friendly. I would like recommend to stay Priano rather than more famous place, such as Positano or Amalfi.

It was very hot, and the staff turned off the air conditioning during the day in the rooms. Consequently, we came back to a steam bath. I thought there was an elevator to the beach, or at least shuttle service all day. It was 400 steps down and up, too much for us, so we didn't even go. I thought the owners were very nice, but we wouldn't stay there again. ... Need new air conditioning systems. Need more transportation to the beach. Elevator was difficult to get, it was always full with people bringing luggage up and down. The food was good in the dining room, and breakfast was excellent. That was probably the best thing about the hotel. I didn't think the pool was particularly good either. Too much chlorine and no ledge. Our room was okay, but not particularly luxurious. The tub and shower were fair--I didn't like the folding door on the shower. ... I would suggest that it was okay but not worth $260 a night. I would stay elsewhere next time.

The hotel was good. However, they moved furniture loudly every morning at 7am in the morning and although our room had a seaview, it was not a good one. I think it was not good enough for what we paid for it. Also, they there were scratches in our hire car that were not there before some of the staff moved our car around in the car park - however we discussed this with them and they agreed that if there was a problem it would be covered by their insurance. ... We had breakfast in our room and then sat with our friends who got up later for breakfast downstairs, though we didn't eat very much and we were charged an extra 20E each for this. I don't mind being charged but they did not tell us until check out that they were going to charge us. ... no ... Good but not great.
