Torre Coccaro is the name of this Masseria built in the XVI century. All the ground around is strewn with aged olive trees. The Masseria is today a five stars resort, a relaxing oasis of tranquillity where the guests will experience the natural and simple lifetime of the past.

As many other Apulian Masseria, Torre Coccaro is a sighting tower built in order to avoid the attack of the Turkish pirates approx. 1 km from the sea in order to see first the attack.  The Masseria has undergone under many restoration works that have brought it back to the antique splendor in total respect of the nature of the Masseria itself.

The mission of the five star resort that will derive from this restoration work is to bring back the guests to the antique natural life. With the passing of time they have been used for the production of the green gold: the olive oil, infact we are in the biggest producing area of high quality olive oil in all of Italy. Also in the Masseria were bred many kinds of cattles, donkeys of the murgian race, horses for work, pigs for making splendid Parma ham or "capicollo".

In the courtyard, the pretty sacred chapel, dating back to the 1730, was regularly visited by the people of the nearby fishing village of Savelletri, who come once a year to honour the patron Saint of the area.

A little lake among olive trees and palm invites the guest to take a refreshing swim and the Cabana snack bar offers delicious buffet lunches of vegetables, barbecued delicacies and fresh cheeses.

Moreover, the Aveda Spa offer Jacuzzi pools at different temperatures and Hammam Turkish bath to enjoy the beauty treatments and the relaxing massages.

In the old haylofts, enriched with silky sofas, stony chandeliers and baroque mirrors, the guests will enjoy the cool during the hot hours of the summer and the warmth of the fireplace in the winter, whilst in the evening can enjoy the drinks at the Bar Il Frantoio under the old roman columns or in front the fireplace in the haylofts.

If you only wish privacy and tranquillity, you can spend the night in the billiard and Cigar Lounge. Moreover, the Masseria is an ideal starting point to discover the nearby coast, the archaeological site of Egnathia, the little villages and the surrounding "masserie', with old Frantoios and olive oil museum.
