Hotel Torre Cambiaso is well known for the splendour of the castle and its tower, view of all Ligurian riviera, the quiet around and the typical restaurant. Whether you decide to eat inside or on the beautiful garden in the Italian style you will have the opportunity of taste some delicious Ligurian specialities. During the summer, and often also in hot springs, it's possible to relax by the swimming-pool or dive for a regenerating bath; five congress rooms are available for meeting of work and a the secular park, with a lake and cave, is always a good solution for a healthy walk.

Hotel Torre Cambiaso is about 5 minute by car from the city center of Genoa: here "Porto Antico" area, the Historical city center, Churches and Museums are the heart of the Genoa.

The "Acquario di Genova" with its 71 tanks is home to a series of marine, lake and dry land environments; the acquarium boats over 800 different species, with some 10.000 specimens of fish, reptiles, amphibians and birds. It represents the widest variety of ecosystems and the largest biodiversity exhibition of any acquarium in Europe.
Closeness is the "Bigo", the panoramic lift which rises to a height of some 40 metres giving visitors to enjoy a breathtaking view of the city of Genoa.
One of the oldest lighthouses still in use, the "Lanterna" has always been the symbol of the city of Genoa; today, rising some 117 metres above the level of the sea, its beams can be seen up to 36 nautical miles away.
The most important church of the city is certainly the "Cattedrale di San Lorenzo": today's cathedral, founded in the tenth century, is essentially Gothic in its style. The facade is characterised by a blach and white striped motif, very common in the Tyrhennian area; the interior, with its three naves, is home to an impressive fresco dating back to the early 14th century.
Other important Churches and Museums are: "Chiesa di San Matteo", built in 1125 and Doria family's personal place of workship; "Chiesa di San Donato", that bears witness to the Romantic period of Genoese architecture and houses the immense triptych of the "Adorazione dei Magi", the work of Joos van Cleve in around 1515; "Palazzo Ducale", the ancient seat of government of the Republic of Genoa, is the now Italy's largst multi-purpose cultural center, offering a packed calendar of major art exhibitions in the splendid settings of the halls of the "Maggior and Minor Consiglio"; "Palazzo San Giorgio", where tradition has it that this was tre prison in which Marco Polo gave his account of his voyage to Rustichello da Pisa, given that in 1298 this building was still the "Palazzo della Dogana" (Customs' Office)- Today is the head-quartes of the Port Authority.
