A collection of stone built villas and trulli, surrounded by pines, gardens and orchards, located on a hilly ridge high above the Adriatic plain. Originally a convent dating to the late 1700's, the complex consists of a cluster of 30 trulli cones set in extensive grounds, partly laid out with flowering borders and lawns the rest left as oak and pine woods. |
Set in suggestive locations within the grounds and new for 2005 are 4 one storey dwellings built in the traditional "Masseria" style, each with 8 bedrooms and one large swimming pool. The trulli, all with independent entrance can best be described as suites, all are individually decorated with sitting area either open plan or partitioned, bedroom and bathrooms mostly with showers. |
The rooms in the Masserie are either on the ground or first floor reached by an external staircase, each with its own small garden area on the ground floor or terrace on the first. All rooms in the Masserie are pleasantly furnished in a modern style with bathrooms to match. |
