Restaurant
The restaurant of la Tana offers a traditional cuisine and may be used for functions and tasting, while overlooking the square of Civitella is the Osteria dell'Istrice (The Porcupine's tavern), a wine bar where you may enjoy a relaxing drink in a pleasant atmosphere.

Swimming pool
In the Summer period, moreover, guests may make use of Mr. Mottura's private swimming-pool situated amongst the vineyards, only about 3 kilometres away from La Tana dell'Istrice.

Home produce
Beneath the house, picturesque cellars carved out of the local stone, and reaching about 15 metres down into the earth, provide an ideal environment for the production and conservation of Mottura's sparkling wine.

Cooking course
Wine experience: from Mondays thru Saturdays
guided vineyards and pressing centre tour with guided wine tasting, underground spumante cellar visit, dinner with wine pairing for a minimum of 4 people.

Cooking lessons: (in English or Italian upon request) from Mondays through Fridays
1 day: for groups only, minimum 4 participants - 4 hours hands-on cooking class with lunch or dinner: up to 4 pax.
3 days: check-in from Mondays through Thursdays 3 nights with half board accommodation, morning free, 2 days cooking class from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with dinner.
Possibility of arranging guided tours of the area.
Each participant will receive a gift package including recipes booklet and one bottle of Mottura wine or the Istrice apron.

Equally close and directly connected are Siena and the Etruscan towns of Tarquinia and Tuscania and, moving into Umbria, Todi, Spoleto, Deruta, Perugia and the Franciscan towns of Assisi and Gubbio. Nearby you may find shops, bank, post office and so on.
