 HOTEL SPLENDIDO

Restaurant La Terrazza: This open-air terrace restaurant, filled with the beautiful fragrance of colourful flowers and plants, offers breathtaking views over Portofino Bay and the Gulf of Tigullio. Chef Corrado Corti and his team offer the finest Italian and regional specialities, including pasta with basil and locally caught fish. The Indoor Restaurant has a more formal atmosphere with handpainted walls and hardwood floors throughout, offering many fine Italian and regional specialities. It seats a maximum of 120 people in an elegant, soothing setting.
Cocktail & Piano Bar: Handpainted walls in cool watercolours with black and white marbled floors create the perfect ambience in which guests can relax and enjoy an aperitif before dinner, prepared and served by our head barman Antonio Beccali. Guests can also enjoy an after-dinner drink along with the stars and celebrities in the romantic Piano Bar with its cosy chairs and soothing warm colours. |
Swimming Pool: Relax in our oval-shaped, heated, saltwater swimming pool amidst our lush gardens and enjoying spectacular views of the sea. Or unwind on a sun bed, order a long drink and soak in the view.
Pool Restaurant: From Spring to Autumn, the Poolside Restaurant serves alfresco, buffet-style lunches and snacks, including an array of regional specialities and a wide selection of beverages. Patio furniture makes for a casual setting where you can enjoy superb views and dips in the pool. Open from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Pool Bar: From Spring to Autumn, the Pool Bar serves delicious cocktails and a wide selection of beverages on the patio, or by the pool. A refreshing cocktail is the perfect way to enjoy the magnificent views between dips in the pool. The Pool Bar is open from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. |
 Health & Wellness Centre: Our new Health & Wellness centre opened in June 2003, offers a wide range of treatments, therapies and beauty care to help you relax and re-energise. Traditional beauty care treatments such as manicures, pedicures, waxing, facials, hairdressing and massages will now be complemented by a new suite of facilities offering a wide range of body care treatments in private treatment rooms as well as sauna and steam rooms, and a new thalassotherapy pool.

. Theatres:The seasons of the 'Carlo Felice' in Genoa are loved and booked well in advance by opera and ballet lovers throughout the country.
. Excursions:The whole area around Hotel Splendido is a paradise for trekking and the walk over the Mount and down to San Fruttuoso is strenuous but certainly enchanting. Day excursions by car can be arranged to the many villages along the coast and inland.
. Transfers: Genoa is connected to major European cities through Cristoforo Colombo International Airport and our concierge can arrange any kind of flight ticketing within Italy, Europe and for International destinations. We can also provide full details of all train and plane connections. Private cars and drivers are available for transfers anywhere in Italy and abroad.
. Health: Whether you need a doctor or dentist or want to indulge in a healthy massage or general body care, our concierge's assistance is immediate.
. Sports: The spectacular pool surrounded by lush gardens with view of the bay and the tennis court, are located on the premises, as well as a small gymnasium equipped with weights, a walking track and a bicycle. Golf and horse riding at nearby Rapallo.
. Shopping: Portofino may be small but it is certainly a shopper's delight. But if time and distance are a problem, there is a boutique at the hotel which offers an incredible array of fashionable clothing. |
 Meetings: The Hotel Splendido offers a choice of two well-appointed private rooms, the Ginepro Room and the Pitosforo Room, which can accommodate up to 160 and 50 persons respectively providing excellent facilities for banquets, cocktails, wedding parties and for small, select seminars. The latest presentation and communications equipment can be supplied, for example, front and back projection for both slides and video. A number of business services are available, including direct dial telephones, fax and telex, courier service, message taking and secretarial services. Chuflay Restaurant: Find the best vantage point to enjoy the jetset bustle of Portofino harbour from the terrace of the Chuflay Restaurant at the Splendido Mare. The Chuflay Bar Restaurant at Splendido Mare is reminiscent of days gone by and offers a bar and a restaurant, with indoor seating for 50 and alfresco seating for 40 on the terrace bordering the piazzetta. Food and beverages are served from 7:00 am to midnight. Some of the great personalities and talents who have visited the Chuflay Bar since June 1998 include James Cameron, Ronald Howard, Rod Stewart. Indoors the Chuflay Restaurant takes on an air of calm elegance, creating the perfect setting for a romantic dinner or relaxed dining with friends. The pianist plays each evening, creating a magical ambiance.
Chuflay Bar: While life goes on in the streets of Portofino around the Splendido Mare, let yourself be tempted by a fresh aperitif served at the Chuflay Bar, relaxing and tranquil with appetising snacks under the caring eye of Maitre Santo Aiosa. Gentle piano music floats on the air each evening until midnight. |
