Francesco Scipione Fapanni wrote of Castellana road as "The Beautiful Castellana", and Scorzé is located along this ancient road. At the town center one finds the original homestead of one of the most powerful Venetian families, direct descendents of Doge Giovanni Soranzo, elected to his august office in 1312.

Originally a XVI Century building, built on or elaborated from an earlier edifice: two different cycles of frescoes support this theory. During the second half of XVIII Century, Andrea Zorzi, the famous Architect, was called to amplify the Villa and established its neoclassical identity, evidenced by the center hall grand staircase, corinthian columns and pilasters.

Countess Alba Mocenigo Soranzo married Count Antonio Conestabile della Staffa. During the first half of our century, the Villa endured numerous destructive interventions and fell into disrepair until, in 1960 it was restored to becoming a Hotel. Since then courteous hospitality and polished style is the rule at this charming Hotel.
