The on-line directions were incorrect. At one point it states that the hotel is situated near the centre of Argegno. It is in fact about 2km out of the village, up a steep hill. You ought to mention that a car is almost essential if you want to stay there.
Also, the directions tell you to turn right as you enter the village. If you do that, you'll end up in the sea! You need to turn left.

We arrived late and the restaurant was closed. It took a great deal of persuasion to get the management to provide us with some basic food as it would have been the next day before we could get something to eat.a bit disappointing.

excellent kitchen and wine cellar

Within walking distance of Arggeno from where you can take the Lake Commo boats and there is a cable car to an upper village( the name escapes me for the moment) for a super view of the lake.

Very good location! Close to everything you want to see near lake Como. Located about 3 km from the lake away from the traffic. No problem with the parking. Wonderfull view on the lake.
Very quiet, you can hear only birds.
Very clear.
Very tasty restaurant in the hotel.
Highly recommended!!!

If you want to enjoy staying in the vicinity of Como, but cannot afford Villa d'Este, go to Locanda Sant'Anna.
Location, room, food, etc ... - highly recommended.

It's a lovely and quite place with nice staff and excellent food. Accomodation was nice and clean and I really enjoyed the days and nif´ghts I spent there.

Only minor details were absent in the room: a dustbin in the room and there was no enough bath towel for 4 persons.

The location was very hard to find (no signs, up a sideroad onto the mountain). Luckily we met a helpful 'Carabinieri'.

When we billed the restaurant dinner against our room we did not receive a bill for signing (though the checkout amount next day was correct).
