The staff were very welcoming and extremely friendly. I arrived earlier than the check in time but was able to book into the room straight away.

I think you should mention the excellent resturant for dinner, the staff were most helpful and the choice of menu was superb, with english speaking staff and the setting was wonderful overlooking the sea.

An extremely lovely hotel where the staff couldnt do enough to make you feel welcome. Very confortable rooms and superb service, the hotel should definately be rated 5 star.

The property itself was nice, and as described on the internet. However, our room, described as having 'garden view', faced a tennis court and a huge rock wall, not allowing any sun to reach our balcony at the 2nd floor.

OK location, good breakfast and nice pool area. Spacious rooms but not at all luxurious. Rooms facing garden less attractive.

Wonderful accomodations easily accessible from train station via taxi. Very friendly and accomdating staff. Delicious buffet breakfast. Fantastic sea view from the room.

We had requested a room with a sea view but only a room with a garden view was available at the time of booking. We accepted this, but I sent in a direct request to the hotel for a room with a sea view, should there be a cancellation. This was remembered by reception on our arrival and we got the room with sea view and balcony!

Great place to stay, especially if you can get a rom with a view out over the harbour and the 'Bay of the Poets'. Don't bother with the hotel restaurant for dinner unless you are tired on arrival. The local town restaurants are more fun and the food rather better on the whole.

We looked at 2 other hotels in the town after arriving, & strongly think we stayed at the best hotel!! Based on conditon of hotel, view, cleanliness, & especially the pool, and the hospitality of the staff, particularly impressed by the dining room staff & Claudio. Food was excellent too!

Your food & beverage Food & Services are awesome & need to be highlighted more. Views, privacy, quietness are exceptional. Not having food bill presented, or needing signatures, etc, after meals is a classy touch, made us feel like we were at a posh resort!!!

We took a bus and then walked to the Royal Sporting Club from the main train station in La Spezia. We had to ask a local for help on what bus to take - we had to transfer buses. This was not clear in the directions. It was also not clear where to get off the bus. The walk from the last stop was quite far. We made it though!

We loved the pool chairs and the staff at the bar! We got great service with our drinks and the free appetizers! The Royal Sporting really grew on us after a day! The rooms could be a little more updated, but it was nice!

A wonderful stay. Room clean, bed comfortable, great view, acomodating staff with good English. Well worth the money. We would stay again and suggest that others sselect this hotel. A great location to see Cinque Terre area.

i get a room on the backyard but i paid less.
Your indication regarding the locatuion of the city wes not very clear as at the beginning i was looking for an hotel at portofino.
But the hotel was ok but rooms not really charming.

Rooms are poor regarding decoration but very clean. The hotel is quite noisely ( cleany early in the morning)
