Bar & Restaurant On the ground floor of Hotel Roma Imperiale there are the Restaurant and the Bar, in front of the garden and the external swimming-pool. The Bar is ideal for an aperitif or for a meeting of work or friends, while the Restaurant, divided in 3 rooms, can host up to 220 people.
The Tavern The Tavern is on the underground floor of the hotel and easily reachable from the hall or the external garden, by a direct access. It's furnished with a lot of services and comfort, a modern plasma TV, and can host up to 50 people; because of a cool temperature and silence, the tavern can also be used as a meeting room. |
Spa & Beauty Center On the first floor of the hotel, the Beauty Center, consisting of more than 220 square meters, offers an infra-red ray sauna (biosauna), a vapour shower, tropical showers with music-chrome therapy, five cabins for aesthetic treatments and massages and one relax area with view. It's also possible to go directly into the garden, where people can find a relaxating swimming-pool, with warmed water. |

Acqui Terme is a thermal water town and Hotel Roma Imperiale is located in the specific "thermal" region. Opposite our hotel is the 'fontanafredda di acqua termale'; a cold thermal water fountain while the remains of a Roman aqueduct is only a 4 minute walk from the reception. While on the subject of water, Acqui Terme's largest outdoor swimming pool,"piscina comunale" a great place for families and children and is located only 2 minutes away.
Due to its splendid hilly position, our guests who are interested in walking or cycling may find many long and continuous roads, with little traffic and spectacular views.
A gentle stroll of 2km will see you in the centre of town and admiring the symbol of Acqui Terme: the sizeable hot water fountain "La Bollente". With water gushing out at 75degrees (167 Fahrenheit), its waters are famous for the well known therapeutic properties. The sulphureous-salty-bromine-jodine waters are used in treatments which have accredited positive result towards the principal rheumatic diseases such as arthritis, post-traumatic pathologies and respiratory conditions
The best way to admire the historical features of Acqui Terme is with a visit to the Archaeological museum. Located in the historical centre, this museum also has a large bird garden and is open from 9:30am until12:30pm and 3:30pm - until 6:30pm each day, excluding Mondays, Tuesdays as well as Sunday mornings.
Still inside the historical centre, Acqui Terme's Cathedral (Cattedrale di San Guido) was built and consecrated in 1067 by saint Guido; the Bishop and Patron Saint of Acqui Terme. The outside appearance will not prepare you for the breathtaking artworks inside, which line the ceiling and create a remarkable atmosphere. Saint Peter's Basilica (Basilica di San Pietro) has been traced back to early Christian times and underwent complete restoration in the 20th century, giving life back to its beautiful 6th century octagonal bell tower.
In the summer time the open air amphitheatre starts its musical program of singing, dancing and theatre in Piazza Conciliazione. Just near by, you shall find the wine quarter with its many "enoteca" wine shops and wine bars.
A nice day trip includes a trip to Alba: the famous wine town which is located 55 minutes away. For a full day of shopping, the Serravalle outlet is only 45minutes away and offers more than 60 shops and up to 50% discounts. If you want to spend a day at the beach, it will take approximately 60 minutes to drive to Savona.
For more suggestions, the information centre is located in the historical centre as well, on Via Manzoni. The information centre is open every day in the mornings and late afternoons.
History of Acqui Terme: Acqui Terme, a tourist thermal restort situated in Piedmont, Italy, extends itself on the left hand side of the Bormida river. The urban nucleus had origin from 'Aquae Statiellae', a settlement of the 'Liguri Statieeli' tribe, conquered by the roman consul 'M. Popilio Lenate' in 172 B.C..
