This place was FANTASTIC! We were treated like family and the rooms were a great value for Amalfi. The bathrooms were very modern and large, and the bedrooms were decorated beautifully with nice views overlooking Amalfi. We only booked for 2 nights, and booked somewhere cheaper for the next 2 nights. We were so disappointed in the second accomodation, that we left and went back to El Duca. The staff were accomodating and so happy to see us back that they gave us an even better room than we had the first time (with large terrace overlooking Amalfi). Breakfasts were wonderful, service the best. Stay here in Amalfi! :)

We were told there would be satellite TV which there wasn't. The reception on the TV was very poor. The sun shade on the terrace was broken and so it was sometimes difficult to keep out of the sun. Having asked if we could have a barbecue, we were told no because of the neighbours. The neighbours had barbecues most evenings.

It would have been nice if we could have had some help with our bags. There were a lot of steps.

Overlooks a charming piazza - you can sit on your terrrace in the morning and watch the town wake up - excellent walking trails in the area - this place has style

It was not clear on the voucher what the accommodation was - it had all the options stated. However, we were very pleasantly surprised by the high standard of the accommodation and didn't mind not having the balcony we were expecting.

We had a very enjoyable stay. Breakfasts were excellent and we would definitely return to this B & B. Not for the faint-hearted though - the B & B is on the third floor and there is no lift, so quite a few steps - at least we got to work off all the calories consumed.

We were extremely pleased with this Hotel. Everyone we had contact with that worked there was cery friendly and made us feel welcome. Our only regret is not staying longer.

I would tell a friend, if you are going to Amalfi you have to stay at Residenza del Duca.

We were personally met and escorted to the hotel after calling to say we had arrived in Amalfi. Our car was then drove to a garage nearby for us. We were able to arrange car to be brought to hotel when we needed it.

We were made to feel extremely welcome and the family were pleasant, helpful and willing to please at all times.

Quiet, pleasant hotel particularly for couples even though children are catered for.
Elderly people may struggle to reach the hotel via 78 steps to climb with luggage.

In a good position to access Amalfi and it's popular cafe bars, restaurants etc.

the owner Gerardo and his son Andreas made us most welcome and were extremely helpful to for our stay with them. Anything we asked for was never any trouble to them and the accommodation we had exceeded our expectations. It was extremely comfortable and the terrace was a wonderful bonus.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Hotel Residenza providing they could climb the stairs without a problem.

We were welcomed kindly with an espresso, which made the climb up the stairs worthwhile.

I think the number of steps up to the apartments of Residenza del Duca should be included, although this was not a problem for me , the apartment definitely would not be suitable for older people.

I would descibe it as excellent, the apartment was very spacious and very well equiped. The sun terrace was private and spacious with a fantastic view of Amalfi. The staff were most helpful at all times.

A feeling a real life in Italy, on the Amalfi Coast...apartment is big and very very comfortable, and very good value for the money. Biggest surprise was the wonderful terrace on top of the apartment - wow!!! Limoncello tasted really good up there....! If you like to sleep late, not a goodplace though, as church bells ring early....Loved it!

Great location, but the apartments associated with the Hotel are 186 steps above the Piazza! The view is fabulous when you reach the top, but only from the outdoor roof terrace. To see the view from inside the apartment you have to stand on tippy toes because the window sills at very high. Otherwise, a great apartment.

The appartment was lovely but we were told it
was 90 steps up, which was quite alot, and it
was actually about 190!! This could have been
a major problem as we had already been a
little worried as my husband has problems with
his hip.

We had a lovely roof terrace but the sunshade
was broken and was not repaired during our
stay. We were not offered an alternative.
The only reason I selected worse than website
was because of number of steps to the
apartment.

As we left the apartment very clean and tidy
we were a bit annoyed to have to pay so much
for cleaning although I accept this is normal
in some countries.They seem to charge you
however you leave things.

I recommended 'Resideza del Duca' already several times to friends when talking about our stay there. An excellent deal at costiera Amalfitana.

As we lost our luggage on our flight from London, it was a great feeling to finally arrive in Amalfi at the Residenza del Duca. Gerardo and his son were very friendly and made our stay as confortable as possible. Our room was beautiful with a wonderful large terrace. The room was beautifully decorated with a lovely tile bathroom. the next morning, we had no luggage, but had a delicious breakfast served on the terrace. Staying at the Residenza del Duca was on of the highlights of our trip.
