By plane: The nearest airports to Residence Contrin are Bolzano (around 40 km from Canazei) and Trento (100 km): from both of them you can get buses to Canazei. However, more international flights arrive in the ones at Innsbruck (140 km), Valerio Catullo in Verona (around 180 km) and Marco Polo in Venice (around 210 km).
By car: You can reach Canazei through two different itineraries. From Bolzano, other cities to the south within Italy or to the north, even coming from Austria, you can take the A22 "Brennero" motorway and abandon it at Egna/Ora. From there you will have to drive around 65 kilometres till you arrive at the inn: go along the SS48 route, pass the towns of Moena, Soraga, Mazzin and Campitello and Canazei will come into view. Once here, leave the Via Dolomiti (SS48) at Via Pareda and go straight till number 89, a few metres before Via di Ciampac.
The alternative way is to go in the direction Bolzano Nord, pass Val d`Ega, cross the Passo Costalunga and at Vigo di Fassa, turn into the SS48. It is a 50 kilometres drive from Bolzano, but take into account that in winter it can become a bit demanding for non-experienced mountain drivers.
By train: Either at Trento or Bolzano you can get buses to Canazei, which leave you off only 100 metres from the Residence Contrin. From the airports of Venice and Verona you can reach Trento by train and all services from the Intercity and Eurostar lines stop at Bolzano. Nevertheless, you should bear in mind that in winter, there are transfer services every Saturday, to and from the airports of Venice, Verona and Brescia: they pick up tourists coming to any of the villages within Val di Fassa (just remember to book in advance). |
