Castel Rigone is a medioeval hamlet founded by Babaro Arrigo who during the fall of the Huns to Rome, fell in love with this spot and decided to establish himself here.

The "Relais La Fattoria", dating from 1600 is set within the charming medieval hamlet and is rich in history and traditions.

It overlooks the lake of Trasimeno where in 217 b.C. the battle of Trasimeno took place between the Carthaginians led by Hannibal and the Romans under the Consul Flaminius, in which the Romans suffered a blody defeat.

A "wild Strawberry" kind of place,
in the heart of the grater part of Italian Renaissance art, besides a considerable portion of ancient and medioeval art . "Relais La Fattoria" is near Florence, Perugia, Arezzo, Assisi, Gubbio, Spoleto, Chiusi which means 20% of the world 's artistic heritage.
