Restaurant: Our chef will let you discover genuine tastes of Italian cooking, recalling the country Umbrian tradition, skilfully readjusted. Different tastes are matched to proper wines, to be selected from a wide range of labels. Dishes are prepared using our genuine products as well as local ones. Bread and pasta are hand made. Our menu also includes vegetarian meals. |
Breakfast is served in the veranda. The buffet offers bread, desserts, home-made cakes and biscuits, jams and fresh eggs. In the cellar you can also taste wines, local cheese and salami. Guests spending here at least one week, will be offered a welcome supper. Reservation for dinner is to be made within 10 o'clock of the same day. |

Connection to the other part of the estate, sited in Penna in teverina, 20 minutes by car, where you can visit the private rural art museum, taste typical products in the village ancient oven, accurately restored, and attend "pizza" classes. |
Guided tour to the most important umbrian, Lazio and Tuscany towns (by appointment). Worth to be outlined is the visit to Cappella Sistina and Musei Vaticani (Sistina Chapel and Vatican Museums). Amelia Amelia is a rich in medieval and Renaissance monuments and work of arts: the Municipal Tower with its dodecagonal plant built in 1050 A.D., symbol of municipal independence; the noble palaces with their frescoes like Palazzo Petrignani, Palazzo Cansacchi, Palazzo Farrattini (a small scale copy of Palazzo Farnese in Rome) and Palazzo Venturelli; the churches of San Francesco, Sant'Agostino and San Magno; the Cathedral. The Theatre of Amelia is also worth to be mentioned. Built in 1782, it is a miniature of the theatre "La Fenice" of Venice. Traditional festivals cannot be missed, like the "Palio dei Colombi" (Medieval tournament) and pageantry of Amerini Statutes dating back to Middle Age.
Macchie Macchie is a village near Amelia, recorded in ancient documentation as "Castrum Machiae", due to the surrounding prosperous woods of Mediterranean machia. Of the ancient castle some parts of the walls, a turret and the gate have remained over the centuries. The legend tells that Federico Barbarossa had to stop his march towards Rome because of the plague and stayed in Macchie, captivated by its natural beauty.
Lugnano in Teverina "La Collegiata di Santa Maria Assunta" of the XII century is one of the most attractive Umbrian Romanic churches.
Narni Narni, like Amelia, is an Umbrian town rich of Roman, Medieval and Renaissance evidences. Some monuments and places worth to be visited are: l The Fortress of Albornoz, Augustus' bridge, Formina Aqueduct, la Priori Square, the Medieval Municipal Palace (with the outstanding Altar piece of Ghirlandaio), Priori Loggia, the Cathedral, the Medieval church of Santa Maria Impensole, Narni underground, where, in the basement of the previous church of San Domenico there is a cave church and the ancient Court of Inquisition.
Orvieto Orvieto is an Etrurian town, originally known as Velzna and particularly important in Medieval and Renaissance time as well as in the Papal State. Places to be visited: the necropolis of "Crocifisso del Tufo and Cannicella", the well known Cathedra dating back to Romanic-Gothic time with its frescoes of Signorelli; San Patrizio' s Well, the Cave Well, the Palace of "Capitano del Popolo", the "Palazzo dei Sette" (Palace of Seven governors), the Moro Tower, the "Palazzo Soliano dei Papi", the churces of Sant'Andrea, San Giovenale, San Lorenzo in Arari, San Domenico e San Francesco, and the Benedectine Abbey of SS. Severo e Martirio. |
