 Old maps of the area show that it was built during the days of Maria Theresa, Empress of Austria (1740/1780). The Relais has a large garden, which is terraced and slopes down to the lake and is characterized by the Lover's Corner overlooking the town on the opposite side of the lake, Careno. There are a big gazebo in forged iron, a main terrace adorned by a swimming pool, a play of steps that descend from the Relais, all allow the guests to stroll to the wooden pier. |
The suites, restored with great accuracy and taste, have the astonishing scenery of Lake Como. All the suites are equipped with mini-bar, Turkish-bath, hairdryer and courtesy-line, hydroshower, Wi-Fi Internet, room deposit box, air-conditioning/heating and telephone. |
On the upper floor, you can find a special space to read or play a game of chess: The Blue Hall. Breakfast is served both in the Sala dei Trofei, a cosy hall with a country appeal or outside in the garden, where the first morning light is reflected in the lake. |
