The rooftop pool and hot tub were closed for repair. I understand that this happens it would have been nice to have been offered some token compensation, a cocktail or wine or such. ... It would have been very good value it the pool and hot tub had been available. ... A great value in a beautiful location.

The swimming pool was much smaller than the impression on the website. ... Very expensive, we recently stayed in the centre of Madrid which was 4 star and far better appointed at almost exactly half the price. ... We were a party of 10 and chose to eat at the restaurant on the Sunday night. We found the meal to be very disappointing. We were ever much rushed, there were many items on the menu that were unavailable and the food for the most part was cold. In addition most of the staff serving were surly, bordering upon rude!

We felt we were treated very well and felt good about reaching the hotel after a long drive. ... Whenever we asked advice about places to eat or site-see we were given very good choices an directions as well as a map. ... Quick and easy. ... We were very happy to be able to use the internet so easily. Most visitors want to check in at home sometime during a vacation. This was convenient and located in a very pleasant setting. ... They would find it very accomodating. The dining room is lovely and personale very friendly.

We did not find the staff to be very friendly or welcoming on our arrival. We checked in with no problem, but there is a lack of warmth and of information giving that we are used to from other hotels, not just in America. ... The Hotel is beautiful, we were very happy with our choice except for the concierge/reception desk. The people who worked at the desk were very curt, too busy to even look up at us most of the time and if we tried to ask them a question, they made it quite obvious that we were bothering them. We observed the interactions of other guests at the desk and most were treated the same way. We would stay at this hotel again because of the location and the facility itself, but would hope that the front desk staff could learn a lesson in customer service and being attentive to their guests. We were also very put off by the dining room host and waiters. We arrived about 8:00 at night and were tired and hungry. We saw that the dining room was open until 9:00. We hurried to clean up and get downstairs to eat. The host made a big deal that we didn't have a reservation even though there were only two other families in the whole restaraunt and they were closing in 1/2 hour. The waiter wouldn't let us order things because we had no reservation. We were sat over by the kitchen and had to have them cleaning up around us, even though there were many open tables toward the front of the place. We did not eat any meals there again except our free breakfasts. We did not feel welcome. Given the circumstances that we had just checked in and it was late, I wouldn't think they would have to make such a big deal about a reservation. Of course when we asked the front desk at check in they told us the dining room was open until 9 and didn't mention a reservation to save us embarrassment. Again, lovely facility, front desk and dining staff need some work. ... Maybe would be nice to know that it is a 10 minute walk to the center of town. The lobby is more spacious and upscale than we saw from the internet. View is truly fabulous ... Beautiful, sea view, great ammenities, poor customer service.

The hotel generally and in particular the rooms were a very great disappointment for a hotel of supposed 4* standard. The room we were given on arrival was unacceptable. It was very small, very poorly furnished and the bathroom was decrepit, eg the tiles were cracked on the floor and the bath seals were broken and black. I complained and was given a second room which did have a reasonable bathroom but which was furnished equally badly. All the rooms are very small. The entire hotel is shabby and unappealing and looks like a throw back to the sixties. The lifts are from the ark and do not feel entirely safe. The corridors are dark and depressing and the public spaces are totally unacceptable. The entire building needs a complete refit and the rooms need to be made bigger. If this is not possible it needs to be pulled down and rebuilt.
... See my comments above ... Barely a 2* hotel which we will never stay at again. We very nearly walked out. I have standards at home which I expect my holiday accomodation at least to match, if not better. This is just not good enough.

We were given the accommodation agreed and stated in the voucher. However, we requested to be moved into the main tower upon arrival and the front desk complied for a small additional fee. ... We paid more than the price quoted on the voucher only because of our room upgrade. Otherwise, I am sure it would have been exactly as stated on the voucher. ... That the garden rooms do not have a view of a garden. They are like a closet...that is why we requested a move to the main tower. ... It is very convenient, has a lovely view and beach, friendly staff and very well maintained.

I wish the pool on the roof was available for use for longer hours, also the use of the beach area. It closed at 7:00 and in the summer it would be nice to swim as late as you can, especially since one eats so late in Italy in gnereal.
