We received a very warm welcome when we arrived at the Punta Regina. We were shown to our room by Josephine. We felt relaxed immediately and it felt as if we were visiting friends. This was a very good start to our holiday. ... The Punta Regina was a delightful place to stay. The rooms were very comfortable and we had a very enjoyable stay. ... Checkout was smooth and without any issues. Josephine organied our taxi which arrived on time. ... The Punta Regina is a beautiful small hotel. It is however the staff that make this hotel quite exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble and they are an asset to the hotel. ... A beautiful small hotel with comfortable rooms, spectacular views and warm welcoming staff.

After a harrowing drive, we were made to feel very welcome at the hotel, our luggage was taken from our car and brought to our room, and our car parked for us. As soon as we entered the hotel, we began to relax. ... Our entire stay was perfect. Both the facilities and the staff went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay, even keeping our cheese cool in the hotel refrigerator when it wouldn't fit in the bar fridge. It was our favourite hotel while in Italy. ... We were having car trouble and the staff were so helpful in helping us contact the rental agency, etc. Even though the breakfast wasn't open, they told us to go up for a coffee and then we were told to go ahead and use the breakfast buffet even though it was a little early. The most amazing service! ... The view from the breakfast area is amazing - what more can one ask than to have breakfast with a wonderful view of the Mediterranean! ... I would, and have, recommend this hotel to anybody planning a trip to Positano. It is luxurious without being ostentatious, comfortable, friendly. You feel pampered but not smothered. All in all, a perfect hotel. We would have loved to have been able to stay longer but we will be back!

The reception was excellent and the arrival at the hotel very smooth.
My only suggestion: It would be useful to have more directions for passengers arriving by bus from Sorrento. For instance, we got off at the wrong stop because the driver had no idea where the hotel was and we were a group of very disoriented passengers since there is no taxi stop around and - we learnt later - we were far from the hotel. But for the kindness of a storekeeper nearby who called taxis for us,we would have spend time and energy trying to figure out how to contact or reach the hotel. ... It was a wonderful experience. We couldn't have asked for more. ... ------ ... It is a great place. The suite we had was beautiful, with a great terrace and amazing view, the breakfast in the beautiful terrace is a joy. The breakfast itself is very good in quality and variety and the service is a plus, always cordial and efficient. The receptionists were not only very kind and polite but extemely helpful and knowleadgeable. It is a very good location too and in Positano that is very valuable. We eliminated other hotels as options after learning that it was very laborious to reach them. For us, the location was one of the best possible ones. We have only good comments and we would recommend it without reservations.

We did note a lot of ants in toilet and ants were found on clothes in bag. We wondered also how often was the water in the jacuzzi changed as we noted a lot of sediment on the bottom. Presumably it must be changed after each occupancy.
... PUnta Regina is not good value for money. We paid €295 per night for our room and at the price, minibar should be included along with free services such as laundry etc. I had to pay €3 to get a dress ironed!!! Not good... Internet access was €5 for half hour. ... Paying for extras. I do not think you shold have to pay for these things when youre paying so much money for your stay. I really did think these things would be included in price. Also car transfer you should not allow the hotel to arrange this as they take a cut of the fare which we didnt find out until return transfer to airport. Too late then! ... Good location, friendly service but too pricey for what you get.

Perhaps there should be a mention that the hotel looks out over the Gili islands, not the postcard view of the rest of Positano and the amalfi coast. The majority of the hotels have the postcard view, we had a slight moment of dissapointment when we realised our view was looking the other way, but the quality of the hotel and the rooms soon made up for this. ... Amazing - one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. The views are amazing and the rooms are beautiful.

The staff was uniformly polite, cheerful, and extremely helpful. Everyone went above and beyond to help both in our stay and traveling back to Rome. The only quibble was the vent not working in the bathroom. A request to have it fixed either was not done, or if it could not be fixed that day, no note was given to us to let us know that. Minor, since it wasn't an absolute necessity, but a note would have been nice. ... You should mention how helpful the staff is!
You should also mention that breakfast is a medium sized serve yourself buffet. I was expecting rolls and coffee. Fresh fruit, quiche, ham, etc. was a nice treat on mornings we were more hungry.
You should really consider opening the terrace at night for coffee and drinks.
Or open it for guests to use the space to enjoy the view.
... Wonderful. The terrace is a lovely place for breakfast.

Giuseppina was extremely friendly and helpful when we arrived. She also went out of her way to accomodate us throughout the trip. We loved her! ... All of the staff was so helpful and accomodating. The breakfast and the staff on the roof were incredible. Everyone was wonderful and gave us great recommendations. Thank you for everything! We hope to return. ... Carlo is a great man! We enjoyed speaking with him. He was so helpful during our departure. Thank you for our bubble wrap Carlo! Our plate got home safely. ... Include more about the terraces- they are so nice and spacious. Something not many other hotels have. ... A wonderful find in the peaceful section of Positano. The hotel itself is beautiful but the people who work there are what really make it really special.
