This was our second visit to the hotel and the lady at reception remembered us from last year. ... I would have liked our bedlinen to have been changed at least once during our stay and the air con was switched off after all the italian visitors had finished their holiday (although there was not a problem in getting it switched back on). The italian holiday makers seemed to get preferential treatment (rolls saved at breakfast etc). ... The hotel would be perfect if there was a swimming pool. We found the local beach to be quite expensive so it would be beneficial if the owners of Porto Salvo could negotiate a discount to use the beach. It's also worth noting that at peak times, lots of areas on the beach are reserved and so not available on a first come first served basis. ... Lovely place - nice and clean. Helpful and friendly staff.

An internet multi-map would have been really useful as the instructions were very vague. ... Don't expect to do any bathing - there is literally no beach. ... A beautiful old monastry with church bells ringing in the morning.

We got lost when we arrived from Rome very late in the evening. The people from the hostel came to meet us and escort us to the place - they were very nice and helpful. ... A very charming and quiet place. To be recommended. ... The woman from the breakfast room helped us check out as the manager had not yet arrived at 7:30am. She only spoke italian and had no change and could not use a visa machine. However, we ended up paying in cash and everything went well. ... Quiet, charming and simple place. A hotel you like to get back to in the evening after a long day out visiting.

The staff at Porto Salvo was second to none. I appreciate their ability to speak excellent English, as my Italian is lousy at best. They were super helpful. Bent over backwards to help. When I asked the man whom I believe is the owner, about nearby restaurants, he picked up his phone and called several to verify if they were open, then handed me a preprinted map of the area that he highlighted the open restaurants on. Very organized and willing to please. ... Excellent accomodation!!! Extremely helpful and courteous staff. Room was very clean and dining room and TV/game room was comfotable and inviting. Porto Salvo is perfectly located!! A 15 minute walk from the San Agnello train station, a 15 minute walk from Sorrento and a 15 foot walk to the cliffs overlooking the sea. Very Beautiful. Lastly, the breakfast was fantastic! As an American, I certainly appreciate Porto Salvo's effort to provide a good breakfast. Breakfast in Italy is typically not a big meal, but Porto Salvo provides enough to make it as big or small as you prefer. You won't find bacon and eggs, but they provide everything else. Cereal, yogurt, ham, cheese, multiple varieties of bread, toaster, OJ, coffee, tea, milk, filled pastry, jam and other spreads, etc.

warm welcome, helpful and cheery ... Nice common areas, free internet is helpful. Staff made local calls for us to clarify bus schedules. Breakfast is far superior to most offered in Italy. Have already recommended it to several people. ... Smooth and easy ... Add a small map for the walk from Circumvesuviana to {orto Salvo.
Boast about the breakfast, the parking, the common areas. ... Clean, quiet, good location, great value for money. Sent an Aussie couple we met in Pompeii there and have advised others in chat rooms to try it.

Based on other customer feedback I had found on this property I knew it was going to be difficult to find. I had asked for clearer directions but they did not help. However, after about 40 minutes of searching, calling them twice and finally asking someone on the street we were able to find the property. The people were very happy to help us. ... This propery exceeded our expectations. The location was great, the room was clean, the breakfast was good, and the staff were very helpful. We had a great stay at this facility and would recommend it. It exceeded our expectations. ... There is a great breakfast. Additionally, this was the only facility where we had internet access for free with a shared computer in the lobby. This was very valuable to us and I think it is to most travellers. ... I would describe the accomodation as basic, clean, and good value for the money. We had an amazing view out our room window to the ocean - this was a great surprise.

No problem and very helpful members of staff to greet us. ... Enjoyed our stay would recommend it ... Smooth operation ... Take some good walking shoes as Porto Salvo is an excellent base to see Sant Agnello and to walk down to Sorrento. ... Ideal base to see the whole of the immediate area:by boat to Capri,Ischia,Pompei, not to mention Positano and Amalfi.Steer clear of hiring a car as their are some very unusual accepted driving practices on the poor roads.

We would say that the room was very good but we had a bad problem with ants when we stayed there. The were tiny ants all over our bathroom and floor of our room. Other than that the rooms were very nice with new furniture. Other than the ants they were clean and comfortable. ... A great hostel, well worth the money, in a great location!

Exhausted when arrived after some walking from train station but it is a nice place to relax yourself and have some good rest. The staff was friendly and helpful. Direction to the hostel published on the website could do better. ... we had two cold nights as the water heater turned cold suddenly while showering in the winter. ... It is a good place to relax. Good environment, clean and tidy. it is advisable to travel light as you really need some walking from the train station.

Very friendly and helpful check-in. ... The room was very clean and the breakfast was the nicest of all the places we stayed on our trip! ... I highly recommend Porto Salvo. The place is very, very clean and the staff is attentive and friendly. The location is great. Just a short walk to Sorrento and an even shorter walk to the beach and to a great restuarant, Moonlight cafe, which was recommended by Porto Salvo.

We had trouble finding the Porto Salvo partly because it is new. More specific directions would have been helpful, especially identifying it as the Capuchin monastery as locals call it. ... I did expect it to be closer to the center of Sorrento instead of bordering the wider area of Sorrento. ... Plain but comfortable rooms with private baths in a beautiful spot near Sorrento. Close to bus and train.

We booked and got a room with shared bathroom, but one of the 2 available bathrooms was closed during one day and a night. The shower in the bathroom for disabled people needs maintenance. ... We will recommend it to friends and family. We like it because it is so quiet and peaceful. Free internet is a service we appreciate! It is not cheap (we travel always low budget, so we are not used to the prices of Porto Salvo), but we think about the cheapest in town? Still one word about the breakfast: I enjoyed it very much, but I think a boiled/fried egg and/or some bacon is an extra that tourists may like? Not one bad word about the service during breakfast: very kind and polite!
