Accomodation was disappointing; partly about the standard, old small TV, style - see below - but also the absence of hotel level service and absence of trust - nothing provided apart from linen - towels on deposit, TV adaptor needed etc

Hotel was 4* but apartment accomodation did not live up to this association. In our apartement the furniture was dated and the kitchen was of a basic old fashioned standard, far below what you might expect from such a hotel.

Apartment checking out was like a holiday camp, with customer expected to clean the accomodation before leaving and with inspection of accomadation by cleaning staff.

The first apartment that we were allocated had some maintenance problems. But the staff responded exceptionally well - and we were reallocated without any difficulties.

The only area which perhaps could be improved was the on site shop. It did not stock fruit or vegetables - which was unusual since the apartments are self-catering. Supplies in the shop could be improved.

An ideal location for a very relaxing break. Excellent views of Garda and a secluded and peaceful environment. Super for those wanting rest and relaxation.

Very pleased with the reception. Anna (Zoe) at reception was fantastic, showed real customer care and was very helpful. A credit to the hotel.

There were no pillowcases in the linen package. Requested more but they never arrived. The loungers by the pool would benefit from cushions, became uncomfortable after an hour.
Apart from that I cannot fault the Hootel

However we were quoted a much cheaper price on the internet than was given to us at reception .This was a shock for us but the reception managed to sort it out.

We were disappointed that the rooms did not have a Kettle with tea and coffee making facilities.Also most hotels have shower that you can stand up in.

Negative: the music from the pool area activities disturbed our peace whilst sunbathing on our balcony

Receptionist could have been more helpful.
Her directions to find the apartment were poor.

Emphasise how large pool area is.
Should state how far it takes to get to town centre

Very friendly staff - very welcoming

All hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed with our 2 year old daughter who was thoroughly spoilt by everybody!
The food in the restaurant was basic but good and extremely good value for money.

It should perhaps be highlighted that although the Poiano is in Garda, it is actually some distance from the lake itself to avoid any disappointment.
As with all the directions given on your web site, there is not enough detail. It would be helpful to provide better location maps that you can zoom in/out of to get a better idea of distances between other major towns/airports.

Great facilities for a family 'sporting' holiday with very friendly staff. The only negative is that it caters very heavily for the German market and thereby lacks a certain amount of Italian charm. Although the public areas could do with a little updating, the rooms themselves are very comfortable and the whirlpool baths are very welcome at the end of a long day.
