We have stayed in agriturismo accommodations in Italy before. This one was the best. There was privacy and security, yet always the family was eager to make sure that we were having a great time. They showed hospitality always--we were very happy at Podere Casenove!

There is a security gate (I can't remember if this was on the website or not). Since we were the only people on the property at night, and we were mother and daughter, this was a reassuring thing to have.

Podere Casenove is a beautiful place owned by a family who really went out of their way to make sure we were happy. The apartment was clean, attractive, and well kept, with everything we needed for comfort and cooking. The jacuzzi-shower was absolutely a treat! Although the apartment was rural, it was also convenient to the things we wanted to do and see on our vacation. Our hosts were great - although we spoke only a little Italian, they were very patient with us, and we had no trouble communicating. By the end of our stay we considered them our friends. Shopping for food was very convenient, with a market in the village nearby. Our hosts were always ready with recommendations when we wanted to dine out or explore the local area - and their recommendations were always excellent. What a relaxing, peaceful time it was in the early mornings and in the evenings, too, when our daily explorations were done!
