Anna Carera and Jacques Ducloz are the most wonderful hosts imaginable. They know exactly when to help and when to leave you alone. They make you feel like a friend visiting their home, not a paying guest. They have endless energy and kindness. Anna is so much fun! Having dinner with them and other guests is fun too; Anna and Jacques don't serve you as though you were in a restaurant, they sit and eat with you, either in the courtyard or in their own dining room. Anna's mother comes in with a greeting; their little son comes in to say goodnight. Montichiari is out of the hustle and bustle of the big cities, so it's great for a rest, but it's easy enough to get to Lake Garda and other places of interest.

The only directions we had were for the location of the town and not the actual property. A street map of the town indicating the street the property was on would have been helpful. ... Jack and Anna were most welcoming and helpful. Their local knowledge helped us plan our stay. ... The web site had indicatated that 30% of the total cost would be deducted from my credit card immediately on confirmation of booking. As far as I'm aware this never happened. I was charged the full price at the end of my stay. ... Villa San Pietro is a lovely, serene place yet it is only seconds from the centre of town. Its a good place to mix with the locals as its off the tourist route. It took us a little longer than 10 minutes to reach Lake Garder but on the whole the Villa is a good base for Garder / Milan / Verona.

our hosts were very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to assist us with our concerns. The pizza shop right outside the villa served the best pizza we've had. ... breakfast could stand some improvement. They consistently served only one type of bread the whole week we were there. But the pizza place right next door was great! The view of the cathedral at night was gorgeous! ... Charming bed and breakfast and good value for money. Quiet and just right for people who want peace and an unharried stay.

A more comprehensive map to find the place would be useful, since the B&B is situated in the centre of the town (small one-way streets). Otherwise a perfect stay, with most-welcoming and helpful hosts.

The property is tricky to find and we arrived quite late at night, but our hosts were very welcoming indeed. ... The property was able to cater for our small children, but perhaps is more suited to couples. ... Ryanair flies from Stansted to the local airport. Also Montichiari has an excellent market on Fridays, including food, clothing and household items. ... Very comfortable getaway for a short stay, rooms with character and lovely hosts.

We could not find Villa San Pietro. So we phoned and they came to pick us up and lead the way to the Villa. This is ofcourse outstanding service! ... We stayed only one night. It will be worth to go again and stay longer. ... Very nice, family owned B&B. Very friendly people.

as a middle age woman I found the stairs necessary to reach the room was very straining. The air conditioning was rather noisy as well and the rooms natural light was minimal. ... I believe the web site stated something about a fitness area and bike rentals, which turned out to be very understated. ... I would state it to be a very hospitable bed and breakfast with the basic accommodations. The one positive feedback I could give was the charm and naturalness of the town that it is located in.

The room slept four people as we were told but it was awful. The beds were horrible, the sheets threadbare and the 'breakfast room' was incredibly bleak and unapplealing. (and the breakfast inedible). We left as soon as we could. ... The price of an accomodation like Villa San Pietro should have been less than half of what we paid. We are very experienced travelers, and we will not be staying there again (nor would we recommend it to anyone). ... Italy is a country full of lovely towns and places to stay for the night. This B&B should not be on your website--it has nothing to offer. The town is dreary (and so close to other fantastic towns!) and the B&B is plain awful. ... Don't stay here!
