By Plane:
The international airports closer to the property are the ones at Treviso and Venice: the first, San Giuseppe, is placed 140 kilometres from Cortina while the second, Marco Polo, is 148 km away (a 2 hours drive approximately). Public transport is available at both terminals to reach the city
By Car:
From Treviso airport, to the south of Cortina, go along Via Mure, pass the village of Canizzano, and in order to leave this town, turn left at Via Canizzano and then right into Via delle Marie. Still on this track, take your left at Via Bernardo Salomoni, right into Via dei Moncini and left again into Via Riccardo Selvatico. Afterwards, turn left into the SS13 motorway, and at a roundabout near Treviso, go along the first exit to SR53. As you approach Silea, turn right into the SR89: you will reach a new roundabout, where you must take the first exit into the A27 highway, on which you have to stay for 70 kilometres. Head towards Belluno and get off at the exit signalled as "Cadore/ Dolomiti/ Cortina". Continue along the SS51 motorway for around 45 km, and you will come to Cortina d`Ampezzo. To reach the property, you must stay on this track, which changes its name to Via Gugleimo Marconi and Localitá Vera. Right before the road changes its name again to Localité Brite de Val, turn right into a road parallel to the SS51, Via Zuel di Sopra, and the Park Hotel Faloria will come into view a bit further, near the town of Fiames.
If you arrive at Venice, get on the SS14 motorway and turn right at the A27: after you pass Treviso, follow the indications already described towards Cortina d`Ampezzo.
By Train:
The railway station you will find nearest to Cortina is Calalzo, placed at a distance of 35 kilometres. There you can get buses to Cortina d`Ampezzo and then take the free shuttle bus to the hotel, or the local bus, which will leave you off only 50 metres from the inn. The journey from Marco Polo airport (taking a bus to Venice, a train to Calalzo and a bus to Cortina) will take you around 4 hours. From Rome, it may take you between 7 and 12 hours to get to Calalzo: the shortest journey is through the Eurostar service, with a stop at Padova, though there are many other itineraries. |
