It is not clear how far you are from the rail or water stations which resulted in quite an expensive cab ride. Additionally the pictures are misleading on the website. When we arrived the rooms were not ready and we had to wait upwards of an hour for the room. The room was to be seaview but you were really facing a brick wall (the back of another building) with barely a glimpse of the gulf of Napoli.

The staff was not very polite or helpful. When asked about tours and ways of seeing the sites of Napoli, we were directed to some of the most outrageously priced tours you could imaging...Sorrento and Capri etc for over 200 euros! Nothing about the 'Tour Napoli' buses for only 18 euros. The quality of the rooms were horrible. They were not clean and were not cleaned/swept the entire time of our stay. By the time we left, dust balls were swirling around the room! I have never stayed in any hotel that filthy! For a double room with twin beds, they were small and uninviting.

The man at the check out counter was very rude and impolite. When asked that he split the bill in half so that each of us could pay by separate credit card, he grew exasperated because he didn't listen at first and had to redo the bill. He was totally rude! In addition to the filth, the poor service, (you had to ask they bring out food for breakfast because they would not refill the plates), and the unfriendly staff, they had a power outage that lasted from the late morning until after 4:00 PM!!! I feel that I should be compensated for the initial long wait to get the room, the smallness and lack of view the room offered, the lack of cleaning of the room and the half day without electrical services. The sad part is that this is a Best Western Hotel...I thought they were a reputable chain of hotels in the United States.

The website paints a better picture than what it looks like or what you receive! The rates are highly over-priced!

I have recommended to all at the University where I work to NOT stay at this hotel. Indeed, this experience has made me decide to NEVER stay at a Best Western Hotel EVER AGAIN! After a month-long stay in Italy, this was the only bad experience/hotel of the entire stay. I stayed in hotels of comparable rates in Rome, Fiesole/Firenze, and Sorrento, yet the Hotel Paradiso was the only one that was not up to par!

Only one thing - the receptionist said our room had a sea view but you could only just see it! Over rooftops. Because we were only there for one night we did not complain though.

Breathtaking coastal view of Napoli. The hotel is a quite and peaceful place to escape to.
