 The Confalone Restaurant
The 17th century room that houses the restaurant is named "San Giovanni", after the priceless painting of St. John the Baptist by Guido Reni, one of Caravaggio's pupils. The work symbolizes the way beauty can be conveyed by art and speaks for the intensity of aesthetic pleasure: it was for the beauty of Salome, for her mesmerising dances, that the Baptist was beheaded. A frescoed ceiling, a large wooden arch - originally the entrance to an alcove- and terracotta floors with ceramic tile inserts are the other significant features of the room. Again, the "Sala Grande", the large restaurant room, dominated by a massive fireplace from the turn of the century and a finely decorated majolica floor dating back to the 18th century. The room overlooks the panoramic terrace. The aesthetics of food establish canons of harmony that delight the eye as well as the palate.You can feast on the view from the terrace of the "Confalone" Restaurant. Guests can choose to have lunch or dinner outdoors, enjoying the panorama of the coast. For lunch, in addition to the "à-la-carte" menu, the restaurant offers a list of recommended dishes. In the evenings, when the atmosphere grows almost magical, there are specially devised dishes that reflect the changing seasons. As well as local, regional and national cuisine, you will be able to taste specially selected products thanks to the expertise of Chef Antonio Sorrentino and Maître Salvatore Pagano.
Episcopio Winery |
 Pasquale Palumbo founded the Cantina Episcopio winery in 1860. Before opening the Hotel that would be named after him, Pasquale Palumbo used to dedicate himself to the art of winemaking. The "Episcopio" trademark and wines have been handed down from father to son and are now being developed by Marco Vuilleumier, Pasquale Palumbo's great-grandson. Our winery, which has celebrated its 140th anniversary in 2000, embodies a tradition which we have never betrayed. Our wines are infused with the atmosphere of our coast. We would like to imagine that even in the darkness of our winery - "a place of seasons" and treasure trove of tastes and bouquets - our wines have managed to preserve the variegated character of our landscape. We still make wine from local grapes: Ginestrella, Pepella, San Nicola, Biancazita and Biancatenerea for white wines; Aglianico, Serpentaria and Piedirosso for red wines. Currently, we produce around 30,000 bottles per year - exclusively from our grapes grown in the "San Lorenzo" vineyards in Scala.

 If glasses could speak, they would tell you about those timeless moments when one feels like sitting at the bar and look for lightness and extemporary peace. This is a ritual which has also accompanied the stays of the many celebrities who sojourned at Hotel Palumbo. In 126 years, the bar has "sipped" stories from the movies world, confessions from stars in the show-business, melanchonies of love, dreams of freedom, ideas for tales, and inscrutable silences. The Bar with its architecture and colours represents a unique mixture of the atmospheres of the Amalfi Coast and Ravello.
Private beach:
The Hotel has for his guests a Villa on the sea where you may bathe in the sun, swim and relax in absolute tranquillity. You will appreciate the beauty of the cost enjoying your favorite drink or wine and a delightful lunch if you wish. On request transfer to go and return with our car and driver.
Swimming pool: Use of free private outdoor swimming pool.
Excursions and transfers: The Hotel has a TRAVEL SERVICE for his guests who wish to visit different points of interest either artistic, cultural or panoramic. The Travel has prepared 20 itineraries, keeping in mind the time guests have at their disposal. A car/mini van with driver will take you to the excursion of your choice. On request a guide can accompany you. For each excursion you will receive information and documentation in English (concerning the itineraries of excursions please contact directly the Hotel Palumbo). On request you may use the transfer service to go and return to any place in Italy. The service is with a car/mini van with driver of the Hotel.
