 Donato, our Restaurant Manager, and his team will accompany you throughout your meal with a friendly, attentive and unobtrusive service.  The Bar: Enjoy the views from the Caffé dell'Arte while trying one of our special cocktails or unique selection of products from the most common ones to several unique choices of rare liqueurs, rhum and brandies. At the Caffé dell'Arte you will have a peaceful and memorable time, either sipping a cocktail or tasting some of our delicious snacks, while looking at how sea and sky blend together through its arches. The music of our pianist will delight you through some great lazy evenings in a very homy atmosphere. In summer unwind on some of our terraces and their unique view that you will never forget. Our several panoramic terraces, also serve an array of delicious snacks and "fresh pasta dishes", refreshments and delicious cocktails.
Mamma Agata's Cooking Classes: take place in her private home, situated on a cliff top, 1000 feet (350 meters) above sea level. She produces nearly all the food she cooks. Mamma Agata has been the chef for many Hollywood actors: Humphrey Bogart, Anita Eckberg, Richard Barton, Liz Taylor, Fred Astaire, Federico Fellini, Marcello Mastroianni as well as Jaqueline Kennedy and international journalists, writers and politicians. She will show you how to create wonderful pasta dishes including her own special recipes. You will learn the secrets of traditional Italian cuisine, using ingredients like veal, fish, chicken and seasonal vegetables. Dishes demonstrated include pizzas, cakes, traditional marmalades and preserves. At the end of the course you will be able to cook wonderful Italian meals.
Sailing: Wonderful excursions along the coast with departure from Amalfi by motor or sailing boat hugging the eastern coast with the picturesque centres of Atrani, Minori and Maiori or coasting in proximity of creeks, shores and small bays.
Trekking: Ravello is a garden of beauties full of little paths, lanes and routes which lead to the mountains, to the small town of Scala, Minori and Atrani; unusual itineraries that will show you how Ravello is linked to other towns on the Amalfi coast. |

In General:
Pharmacy, bank, post office, shops, restaurants, everything is in the centre of Ravello, which is 5 minutes far from the Hotel, walking distance. In high season most of the shops are open on Sunday and banks on holidays too.
Sightseeing:
Ravello is situated south of Naples perched on a clifftop 350 mt (1000ft) above sea level overlooking the spectacular Mediterranean of the famous Amalfi Coast. It is a quiet little town with unique charm and attraction due to the contrasting landscape. The town itself has been boldly laid out in the steep hillside. The glorious surroundings of the clear blue sea, cloudless skies, profusion of flowers, pastel coloured houses and stonework provide a myriad of bright colours throughout the year.
Pompeii and Ercolano with their roman ruins are just a scenic drive from Ravello as well as Paestum with its Greek temples and the mediaeval picturesque villages that are dotted along the coast such as Positano, Amalfi and Praiano.
The islands of Capri and Ischia are within a short boat ride from Amalfi. |
