 Cefalù is the right place to discover the beauties of our enchanting Sicily Island, you will find medieval streets, and delightful restaurants and pizzeria overlooking a rocky coast, there are some good restaurants in the town centre and near the shore that offer seafood and other local specialities. Nestled between the Madonie Mountains and the sea, Cefalù's mountain boasts the ruins of a large fortress and an ancient Sicilian-Greek temple. From Cefalù, one of the most beautiful villages in Sicily, you can visit the Temple of Diana, which is located at the top of the rock that dominates the town; the Temple is a megalithic structure built around a proto-historic cistern (9th century B.C.) with a dolmen-type covering. Cefalù also has a nice public beach, as the cathedral and most museums are closed in the afternoon from 1.00 to 4.00, this is a perfect time to eat or lying on the sandy beach sunbathing. |
