The smell of fresh flowers greeted us, along with a very friendly and helpful staff. We were given the room we asked for and he even helped with our bags. ... We spent 10 days in Italy and this was our very favorite place -- we extended our stay one night we enjoyed it so much. Since returning I have written Nicolette a personal note, thanking her and the staff. I have also written Rick Steeves and suggested that he mention Palazzo Dragoni in his next book on traveling Italy. ... Nicolette checked us out, gave me a little book and we kissed on both cheeks -- all with a language barried, yet we felt like we were leaving 'home'. ... It was such a delight for the money, I almost hate to publicize it. It is a treasure in Umbria, and very untouristy. I would hate to see that change (from a selfish point of view.)
We would add that the little outdoor restaurant opposite the loggia was equally delightful for dinner. (Restaurant Signoria, I think was the name.) ... See numbe4 10 above

Anyone not used to Italian one way systems driving into Spoletto is in for a surprise!!! But it was all part of the experience!!! ... Nicoletta who serves breakfast deserves a special mention. Very attentive and always made us laugh and a great way to start the day!! I work in hotels myself, and I think every hotel should have a Nicoletta!!! Fantastic. ... A wondeful place to stay, in a very special town. The memories of our stay will be etched on our hearts forever.

Our stay was wonderful in every way. The staff was very helpful and nice. We're only sorry we couldn't have stayed longer. ... We've never stayed in a lovelier hotel. The view from our window was spectacular and the parking situation was great. ... Took perhaps two minutes. ... I would mention that March is a wonderful time to visit as the weather is cool and there are so few tourists! ... Absolutely perfect - felt as though we'd stepped into a fairytale.

I arrived by train, so the location of the train depot in relation to the hotel would have been helpful. ... The bells were no problem because they do not ring after midnight or before 7AM. ... Charming, very Italian, and in the most central and best location.

Although, finding the hotel was somewhat difficult at first arrival due to the configuration of this ancient town, I had no problem the next day. The hotel is centrally located with a view of the duomo and the valley below. The rooms were spacious and clean with a wonderful breakfast in a breakfast room with extra large wrap around windows overlooking the valley and the duomo. The service was very friendly and helpful.
