 During the winter, the ski area of Livigno offers a variety of ski runs that can satisfy skiers on any level, even the pros. With a lot of ski lifts, with a total capacity of approximately 30,000 persons per hour, make it possible to ski on 170 km of perfect snow-covered runs in a splendid natural setting with a vertical drop of 1,800 meters (the highest difference in altitude in the Alps from the ski lift served point to the bottom of the run). There are also 95 kilometers of cross-country and biathlon ski trails in the midst of this pristine nature. Snowboarding, telemarking, freestyle, alpine skiing, sled dogs, hiking with snowshoes, and ice skating are also available in Livigno. Livigno is also popular in summer, thanks to its location, sports facilities, and excursions in the Stelvio National Park (one of the largest nature reserves in Europe). In the summer you can also ski on the Stelvio, one of Europe's most important summer ski areas. Numerous trails in verdant settings are available for hiking or mountain biking. You can also play tennis, and fish or do archery, free climbing and mountain climbing. During the entire year you can also go on shopping sprees in the tax-free area of Livigno or take a dip in the hot spring waters that flow at a temperature of 38 - 41° C, for an enjoyable vacation of wellbeing. |
