By Plane
Bologna airport, also called Guillermo Marconi, is placed 61 kilometres from downtown Carpi. It has regular services to Madrid, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and other cities within Europe, as well as national flights inside Italy. From the terminal you can catch direct connections to Modena or the bus taking you to Bologna`s railway station.
By Car
From the airport in Bologna, turn right in motorway RA1 and head towards "A1/Milano". Continue along A14/E45 and A1/E35/E45. As you approach Modena, get on A22/E45 direction "Brennero/Verona" before getting off at the exit "Carpi". Afterwards, drive along motorway SP468 and Tangenziale Bruno Losi. You will soon arrive in Carpi, where you must turn right in Via Giorgio Meighi, and once again at the end of the street, Via delle Magliaie: the hotel stands on number 2-4. (This journey takes around 45 minutes).
There is also a chance that your plane may land in Rome: in this case, the journey by car -approximately 430 kilometres- takes 4 hours 15 minutes. You must take highways A24 and A90, drive towards "Exit 10/9/8/7" and then "Exit 10/ A1/ Firenze" before getting on A1DIR/E35. Head in the direction Firenze and continue along A1/E35. As you come close to Modena, get on A22/E45 direction "Brennero/Verona" and follow the indications already described.
By Train
At the airport in Bologna there are nine daily direct connections by bus to Modena (this city is placed 28 kilometres away from the property): this service works every 2 hours and lasts 50 minutes. Here you may take the train to Carpi, which takes only 10 to 15 minutes. Otherwise you may take the Aerobus at Bologna airport and reach the railway station in central Bologna in 20 minutes. Once there, the trains reaching Carpi, in around 1 hour, make a stop at Modena.
Finally, if your plane lands in Rome it will take you between 3 hours and a half and 4 hours 40 minutes to reach Carpi by train: the services usually make stops at Bologna or Modena. The railway station in Carpi is located 3 kilometres away from the hotel, therefore you can take a taxi and be at the property in a few minutes. |
