Our arrival was pleasant and easy! The staff took our luggage from the car and brought it to the room; someone helped show me where to park my car; and a staff member walked with us to show us where we could join a tour of the city. ... The staff were genuinely interested in helping us enjoy our visit in Chiavari and in the region. ... The restaurant at the hotel serves the best food in the city! We came back to the hotel for a few days, and we signed up for their 'half-board' plan, which gave us a wonderful meal each day (our choice of lunch or dinner) at a quite reasonable price. At the restaurant, the waiter noticed that we had invited a single person to join us for dinner--the next night, the waiter had reserved a table to accommmodate three people, in case we would again be 3 people for dinner (which we were). After just one day, were treated as 'regulars'! ... I would strongly recommend Hotel Monte Rosa to anyone who wants to visit the region. I would add that they should enroll in the 'half-board' program so they get to eat dinner each evening in the hotel, and they can rely on Olga (or any of the staff) to help them enjoy their stay.

It was very easy to find and centrally located in the town. ... The hotel manager was most gracious and helpful. I will recommend the Monte Rosa to everyone I know that is travelling to that area. ... I would describe it as very quaint and charming. The room was spacious and very comfortable. There was a nice variety on the breakfast buffet, and it was presented attractively. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. In the late afternoons, the garden patio was a nice gathering place for guests for reading, meeting new friends, or just enjoying a nice glass of wine from the bar. You can't do better for the value!

We enjoyed our stay, especially the dining staff and menu so much that we stayed an extra day. The hotel was in a perfect place for touring the Italian Rivera from Cinque Terre to Porto Fino. We hardly used our car went by train everywhere. The covered arches over the side walks made shopping fun even on a rainy day. We bought fresh produce from the market to take to our next destination. Would definitely like to go back there. ... I would highly recommend it.

We had a lovely room with a large patio. Unfortunately it was directly across the street from a church and the bells started at 7 AM. The incessantly barking dog across the street was much worst though. Our kids had a triple room and luckily there was an extra bathroom right next door and that made getting ready much easier than at other hotels. It was a nice facility that had been recently remodeled. I'd stay there again.

The staff was wonderful at the Hotel Monte Rosa. They were very friendly and very accomodating. Our room had a fabulous terrace with a view and upon arrival we were greeted in our room with a lovely bottle of spumonte and a bag of local baked goods. It was easy walking distance everywhere and the complimentary use of bicycles was the perfect touch. It was a nice way to explore Chiavare. Thank you Hotel Monte Rosa for a lovely stay! ... The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It was a great hotel and I would stay there again! ... Close proximity to train station and the beach.
