| The B&B Villa Mon Plaisir is an ideal starting point for your excursions to Campania's most famous sites such as Sorrento, Capri, Ischia, Amalfi, Positano, Ravello, Pompei and Naples. The nearest beach is Marina del Cantone, 4 km far from our property. You can reach it by car in 10 minutes, or by bus in 15 minutes. Sorrento, the heart of the Sorrento Peninsula is a few minutes from our bed & breakfast and from there you can take the hydrofoil to Capri, the pearl of the Bay of Naples. Massa Lubrense is a place where you can find all you need to spend a nice holiday on the coast. Banks, restaurants, cinemas, shops and supermarkets are situated close by and you can reach them in few minutes by car or on foot. If you want to do shopping many boutiques are located long the streets of Sorrento. Thanks to its position our B&B offers a right accommodation near the centre of the Sorrento but in a peaceful and calm position. Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi, is situated about 6 km from Sorrento and about 400 mt above sea level. It is a well known holiday resort and one of the "pearls" in the Gulf of Naples and Salerno, facing Capri. Etruscans, Greeks and Romans, were enchanted by the beaunties of the Siren Land and lived in the wooded hills for the centuries. This has been confirmed by the wide necropolis existing on the northern side of the hill. Later it was occupied by the Carmelitani Padri who built a Monastery which they gave the name "Deserto". In the Roman age it became the junction of merchant traffic between the two gulfs. The church of S.Maria delle Grazie in S.Agata has inside a beautiful high altar: it is an important work of the Florentine school of XVI century, it is a fantastic work of polichrome marble hard shaped stones and mother of pearl. The Landscape itineraries are only some amongst many opportunities available in the Siren Land: to the bays of Crapolla and Jeranto (protected area FAI), to San Costanzo and Punta Campanella, in a wide and uncontaminated maquis. |
