 Situated in the pedestrian centre of Stresa, only one block from the most beautiful lake in Europe, the large car parking and the boat landing, just two minutes walk from the Congress Centre, the recently renovated Hotel Moderno is also the quietest. Besides the 54 individually furnished bedrooms you will find comfortable dining rooms and characteristic open air terraces. Owned and managed by family Zanetta-Schmutz since 1934, it offers a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. |
 Since your arrival our staff will take care of you, showing you parking possibilities, helping you in planning trips and excursions, reminding you the events scheduled during your stay, explaining how to use the guest's internet point or just telling you anything else the hotel and the town offer to its visitors. The comfort of the structure is completed with a wide open air terrace at the first floor. The hotel has a comfortable lounge with american bar where our guests may relax drinking a fresh apéritif before tasting our renowned good kitchen. |
 A little meeting room is used also as TV room when our guests want to follow a football match or any other program with their friends. Here is also our computer with internet connection used as internet point exclusively for hotel guests. The hotel Moderno is renowned for the good quality of its catering and delicious dishes are served in the two dining-rooms: the sober central dining-room or the Pompeian dining-room, where the red colour predominates with reproductions of paintings and reports of the ancient civilisation of the famous southern italian town. |
 The Gazebo is our open air "à la carte restaurant". Located in the most characteristic street in Stresa is open every evening from 7.00 pm to 9.30 pm when you may taste our Chef's specialities with a candlelit dinner in a romantic atmosphere. Shaded by an ancient wisteria, just in the middle of the hotel, the La Damigiana, is the characteristic inner courtyard decorated with ceramics of the Mediterranean Amalfi coast. In summer breakfast is served here, while during the day it is a very quiet peaceful spot where to read, have a drink or play cards. It is used also as an extension of the Gazebo à la carte restaurant. |
