In the unforgettable green heart of Puglia region, you will find B&B Mirella. From here you can do daily tours to many different places, such as the caves of Castellana, Alberobello, Ostuni, Monopoli, Martina Franca. The "trulli" are located in the countryside of Alberobello, at walking distance from the town centre. This graceful town is one of most peculiar villages in the world, and it is an Unesco heritage site, thanks to its picturesque "trulli" (there are more than 1000). Strolling down the town centre takes you to the delightful monumental areas of Rione Monti and Aia Piccola and to the characteristic Casa d'Amore and the admirable Trullo Sovrano, examples of rare beauty. Monopoli is a gracious seaside village renowned not only for its sparkling water but for its enchanting beaches, its fascinating landscape and splendid baroque churches. The village has been a flourishing port in Bizantina and Normanna age. Its port has been subject in passed to regular attacks and in the XVIth century the Spanish constructed a castle in order to defend Monopoli that is still superbly conserved. The historical center is still encircled from the fortifications constructed from the Aragoneses in order protect the city from the attacks coming from the sea. It is worth a visit to the the Cathedral dedicated to the "Madonna della Madia", one of the most typical examples of baroque architecture. In the outskirtses of the city it is possible to visit some ancient churches, many of which constructed in the cliff. The territory moreover is scattered of "masserie" (beautiful ancient fortified houses where small communities lived). With its beautiful white sandy beaches, sparkling clear sea water and very romantic restaurants facing the sea Monopoli provides the ideal place for restful holidays.
