In 1903 Mr. Giacomo Costa transformed his private residence into a hotel, entrusting the management to the Kuoni-Stoppani family, founders of one of the oldest European travel agencies: this is how the Miramare soon became one of the first Grand Hotels on the Portofino coast. The Grand Hotel Miramare with its large liberty style building, overlooking the promenade to Portofino, dominates the Tigullio Gulf. |
In the 1933, from the hotel terrace, Guglielmo Marconi, for the first time in history, transmitted radio telegraphic and radio telephonic signals. The Miramare conference center is a perfect location for the most demanding meeting, offering the right atmosphere for relaxation and concentration, amidst the silence of nature and the blue of the sea. |
