We received a room with a beautiful view, so were very pleased. Even without that superior view, the hotel in general and staff in particular were great. The only down side relates to the showers/tub which lack curtains thus causing a minor flood on the floor. As we have found this common throughout Italy, it was expected.

Positive- the best location in Como. Compared to other hotels in Italy, the breakfast was very good.
Negative- if one has never travelled to Italy before, be prepared for the shower/tub flooding issue.

There was an air pollution restriction in place when we arrived and we could not get our car near the place to park. Parking in that area of Como is a real issue. We had to park in a city car park and walk - we found this experience a little unsettling at first.

We had to pay for the hotel to park our car. I am nor sure whether we knew this fact in advance and whether we knew how much was the daily rate. For one one night there was no romm for our car in the hotel car park. Please let peopel know about this possibility

Yes we would recommend this hotel to friends and family travelling to the lake Como area. Ideal convenient location an excellent breakfast with helpful english speaking staff.

The room was very well appointed and large. The bathroom was nearly as large as the room. The view was fantastic and the staff was polite. The Imbarcadero Ristorante in the hotel is great. We would certainly stay there again. The location is fantastic!

Most enjoyable stay and the staff were welcoming and very helpful and polite.
The accommodation was delightful, although noisy on the road front!

Suggest you make it known that there are charges for the hotel garage.
The restauarant manager did not make it known that there was a 10% discount for residents.

Checking out was a drama!!! Firstly we were overcharged E6 per night for the room and also charged E17 per night for parking. We complained and the parking was credited off but initially the hotel was not going to do anything about the room rate, I pointed out that I had a printed confirmation of the rate and that I felt that I shouldn't pay any more than that. Finally the manager (I think that who he was) got involved and the matter was settled at E190 (the quoted rate)but it was not without quite some angst!!

We drove to the hotel and had an awkward time parking our car in front of the hotel as the entrance is accessible from a very heavily trafficked road and not large enough to accomodate more than 2 cars. Also, the paid parking garage was quite far.

We were very disappointed with the hotel. It does not deserve a 4 star status. Every part of the hotel smelled excessively of cigarette smoke. The decor (carpet, furniture, wallpaper) was quite shabby. The hotel claimed to have been renovated but the renovations looked to have taken place at least 15 years ago. The room was very dark and the bed was uncomfortable (we asked for a double bed and were given a room with two single mattresses on a double bedframe).

This hotel was a big disappointment. The central location in Como was the only positive aspect of our stay. The hotel itself was shabby, smelled excessively of cigarette smoke and definitely did not deserve its 4 star status.

I wasn't pleased with the heat. I think that it has to be autonomous, so each guest can control the heat and place it to the temperature he wants. At your hotel the heat was on, only a few hours in the morning and night.

My room was extremely small even for a single person.

Parking is a nightmare. There are too few spots at the hotel and the public garage is not close. The included breakfast is very nice , especially made even more pleasant by the very cheerful man waitng tables and offering coffee.

Great location for catching tour boats but probably not the best value in Como. My room faced the piazza which was particularly noisy with some gathering taking place in a tent during my stay.
