A warm sense of hospitality, friendly service and stylish interiors characterize "Masseria Panareo", a gorgeous building dating back to 13th century a.C. run by the Zezza family. Long renovation works enhanced the beauty of this ancient "masseria" (typical fortified house) and returned to its ancient splendour. The surrounding area is characterized by luxuriant Mediterranean vegetation (0,5 hectares of unspoilt nature). It is the ideal spot from which to enjoy the stunning colours of the sunset and, on spring mornings, it is possible to see as far as the coast.

Just down this impressive, beyond a unique landscape there is the clear, sparkling sea of Salento with its pure white sand and crystalline sea. Masseria Panareo is set in this enchanting scenery where the scent of the sea blends smoothly with the smell of the herbs to please the senses. The building has very ancient origins: it belonged to the "Basiliani monks" of the nearby abbey of San Nicola di Casole; it was purchased then to the "Starace di Casamassella" family and in 1784 became a fortified "masseria".

After the second world war and numerous colourful events, the property was bought in ruins by the present owners and it took several years of careful and meticulous restoration to give the buildings their ancient splendour. Nowadays "Masseria Panareo" is a combination of picture-perfect landscape featuring lush Mediterranean vegetation, hearty food (restaurant available also for weddings and special events), friendly people, superb architecture with the add of modern facilities.
