As there are no signs to find our house nor the house looks like a hotel, please print the map and the detailed information available below. The last Km of the road is unpaved, but perfectly safe and accessible to all types of car. |

From North:
A1 exit Valdichiana, SS E45, bypass Perugia and follow signs for Assisi on SS75. Exit at Santa Maria degli Angeli Nord and follow direction Assisi.
In Santa Maria degli Angeli drive along the huge church with a golden statue on the top of the facade.
Drive straight on, initially along the church, then pass the railway and the sign for "Antica Strada Mattonata" until the foothill of Assisi (approx. 3.5 km).
Just after the "Antica Strada Mattonata" you will find a round about (nr. 5) where you see a wall with many hotel signs and you are obliged to take a turn.
Turn left downhill, direction Perugia 19 km (SS 147) and immediately to the right in Via San Fortunato after the Ponte San Vittorino (a bridge close to a bus and camper parking lot). Do not take sharp right along the parking lot, but take the Via San Fortunato that goes uphill (other signs are for Pieve San Nicolo', Paganzano, San Fortunato, Trattoria dal Cacciatore). After 6.5 km (4.5 miles) turn right into an unpaved road, Via Petrata. If you arrive at the hamlet of Pieve San Nicolo' you have missed the turn, go back and take the first unpaved road on your left. In Via Petrata, continue for about 1 km (0.7 miles). Ours is the second house on the right hand side, the first of a white-cream color. Ring at number 37.
NB. If using a navigator, please search for directions from Assisi and not from Valfabbrica.
From South:
From the A1 motorway, exit Orte, and join the state road S.S. E45. Follow direction to Perugia, exiting at Santa Maria degli Angeli Nord and continue straight-on direction Assisi. Then follows directions as above. |
