We have booked many apartments and villa through Italyby.net and find the service excellent.

Residence Ludovica is really wonderful. A luxurious apartment with brand new facilities and a fabulous view. Very clean and spacious. Air conditioning - even heated towel racks in the bathroom! A great location in the town and an easy walk to good restaurants and mini-markets for self catering. The owner - Daniele Davide - was very helpful. Just note the apartment in Positano is hard to find at first and it was a 50 euro cab fare from Sorrento station to Residence Ludovica. However, well worth it and would recommend this apartment without hesitation.

Some confusion on how to collect keys. Would be best if this was outlined in the email confimation.

Had to request additional bed linen and towels (there was no lined at all on the second bed). Kitchen appliances and utensils were very minimal.

Distance to town (we were after something central which this accom was only after checking with the owners before booking. Also the equipment within the kitchen - although it was somewhat self-contained it made cooking difficult with minimum equipment/utensils.

It was awful! We received no information on the following things:
1. The bus stop to get off at in Positano
2. How to get to the apartment
3. How to collect the key
It tooks us over an hour to find the apartment and then it was only by talking to local people in the street - we were not happy.

We never saw the staff except for a young man who came to collect the money. His manner was very abrupt.
We never found the share laundry room and had to pay to have our laundry done at a laundromat.
The kitchen in the photos on the website was much better than the one we had. It was very small and poorly equipped. There were only two hot plates and no oven. The following items need to be added to the kitchen to make it usable: can opener, sharp knife, wine glasses, saucepan lids, cloths for drying dishes. To make it pleasant there are many more things that could be added: salad bowl, better crockery etc.
The bathroom needs a shower curtain and decent towels.

We stayed in much better places for much less. For example we stayed in a similar size apartment in Siena which cost us only 550 Euro for a week.
It is entirely unreasonable to expect payment in cash. We were travelling with a credit card. Our cash withdrawals were limited to a certain amount per day and we had to go the bank three times to withdraw enough to pay the bill. The insistence on cash was a real problem.

Pictures on website are misleading - for example the kitchen in the picture was much better than the one we had.

Spacious one room apartment with a tiny balcony overlooking the town with ocean in the distance. Great bathroom but very tiny inadequately equipped kitchen.
